krizay, sometimes even just one sincere effort is enough.
I won't drag you along for hours with this. After a little more time, I will post the answer, with an explanation of the question.
Also, I do find that reading up on these players is rewarding. I love to read as well as write.
So answers that are not correct actually do a lot of good.
I read where Gabbert and his brothers once helped to save some people out of a situation in the water.
And it seems that one of them currently plays in college. (I'll have to re-read to get my facts straight).
So Thanks again krizay, for tuning in. I'll be back, maybe, 30 minutes or so.

Explanation for QUESTION 9
As I contemplated using the name Tony Dungy for a NAME THAT NINER! question, I had to think really hard, over and over again. It was almost like trying to solve a complex math question. His name may have been pretty obscure as an NFL player, but hardly so as an NFL Head Coach.
The very basic first piece of "clay" I worked with was: He won a Super Bowl as a player and as a Head Coach. But that was far, far too easy.
The fact that he was converted to a different position when he came to the 49ers was just the thing I needed. I decided his quarterback play in college would be just a "front," to throw you off. But the real kicker was to throw you all around with the "first Year No. 2" and "second Year No. 5" stuff.
In Dungy's second year in the league [1978], with the Steelers, they won the Super Bowl. His first, Year No. 2.
In Dungy's fifth year as Head Coach of Indianapolis [2006], they won the Super Bowl. His second Year No. 5.
Dungy previously spent 5 years, actually 6 years, as Head Coach of Tampa Bay. This was his first, Year No. 5.
Tony Dungy – DB – 1979 – Minnesota
As a player:
Pittsburgh Steelers (1977 – 1978)
San Francisco 49ers (1979)
New York Giants (1980)*
* Offseason and/or practice squad member only
After going undrafted, Dungy signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as a free agent and was converted to defensive back, going on to play three seasons in the NFL. His best season was in 1978, when he intercepted six passes and won a championship ring with the Steelers in Super Bowl XIII.
Dungy is the most recent NFL player to intercept a pass and throw an interception in the same game. Dungy was the emergency quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 1977 game against the Houston Oilers when both Terry Bradshaw and Mike Kruczek went down with injuries on October 9.
Dungy coached the Colts to a 29–17 victory over the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI. Dungy became the first African-American head coach to win a Super Bowl. Dungy would coach two more seasons in Indianapolis, retiring after the 2008 season.

I went through the converted QB route but couldn't find one that won 2 superbowls. I went down many rabbit holes but kept coming up blank. I actually did think about the coaching route but got busy at work and wasn't able to research when that thought crossed my mind then totally forgot about it.
The funny thing is once you said it wasn't gabbert and I couldn't find any offensive players I thought it could be. I actually said, it has to be safety and I was researching DBs before I got busy. That said, Tony Dungy's name would never had entered my mind at any point.

I intentionally left out all the years that passed between his two Super Bowls, because then you would know it had to be a coach.
There is so much than can be mentioned about players/people like him who are still in the spotlight. Things like Dungy having been an undrafted free agent out of college. But oftentimes it's always the same old things that we already know. For instance, I have grown so sick and tired of Joe Buck always introducing Troy Aikman as the Hall of Famer. Oh wow Really he is?
It's almost like we better expect to be asked that on Heaven's Entrance Exam.
I better get off this soap box I just got on.
