Theoretically you could go 0-6 in your division but still win it. 2020 Commanders went 0-6 but 7-3 outside their division and still won it lulz. Got dam lol.

Very unlikely.

the 4th and 23 deserves it's own thread.

you don't have to go there. you can punt. clearly they felt out of Mitch's fg range. that was on Brock taking a silly sack. i hope KS is going over it with Brock, but it is a short week so not much time for even that.

Why, would you punt from the Arizona 27? May as well try if they aren't willing to attempt a field goal.

If the choices are try to convert 4th and 23, or attempt a FG from 40+…. You attempt the FG.

the analytics of it would be interesting. i say punt is probably optimal.

Wish is a very good punter, now he doesn't normally punt from here. so maybe it's not in his wheelhouse, but let's say he gets the ball inside the 10 a solid amount of the time. that's 20 or so yds of field position, at high probability.

if you go for it, it's very long odds of getting it, so very high probability of a fail. now maybe they pick it and you gain yds that way. or maybe there is a flag. who knows. but it's probably their ball at the 27.

FG is probably the worst option. we saw Ryland not get enough on it and we scored a TD. Wish is probably markedly worse than Ryland. as Ryland is a pk, and Wish isn't. they probably judged this out of Wish range, which is why he didn't come out. so not only no points, but you lose field position with a missed FG, and a block is even worse.
Those anyone really surprised ? Or you might have a short memory
remember how we started in 20 21 22 and now 24 ?
Kyle cant get the most of his players. And i think now that all those stars have fat contracts they are not as focused and physical as it needs to be to win in the NFL
last year was an outlyer. We really missed our best chance when all was clicking with CMC and almost no injuries the all year.
Pray that there is a wake up call and before that we are not completely out of it
If we are in the playoffs anything can happen, that's the silver line
BTW most respect to you fans watching the game live with all those ads and even more for those paying game tix
I am from abroad and with NFL pass i see the full games without ads the following day.
i can jump an entire drive or quarter when they play like shlt
so i endure this farce vs cards in less than an hour. Didn't waste my whole afternoon.
this team dont diserve my attention or my time.
You are as good as your record is…
And who thought about harbaugh year 4 when he was called out by Jed after a seahawks blowout ?
this is the same kind of situation : unacceptable level of pro football
look at kyle record in 7+ years. The only thing that looks great is their record in december/january 24-5 or so
i may stop watch the games until then like a bandwagoner

This is all on coaching. The offense has invested in their pass catchers and they have been MIA in the red zone. Even without CMC, our red zone offense can't be this bad. I dunno what to think here.

Positive note, if we win in SEA, we are tied for first in the division for a couple days. We are far from a playoff team and we will get smoked by KC and probably DAL

drove me nuts when the coaches went out on the field and caused Mason to fumble on the 8 yard line. also fire Kyle for kicking Moody in the ankle so the team had to go for it on 4th and 23.

Gets crazy blaming the coaches, doesn't it?
Honestly it's pretty obvious what the problem is.

1. Handoffs to deebo are a waste of a down. He's 15 carries for 36 yards 2.4 ypa. And it was worse earlier in the season.

We basically have wasted 3 plays a game to get no yards handing the ball to deebo. A full 3 and out worth per game on deebo handoffs. If advise to stop doing that

2. There's only 2 RedZone mismatched on the team, Kittle and Juan. Ayuik doesn't have a quick enough first step to get off the compressed field and get open. Deebo is the same but with also weak hands. This means our only good plays are to little or Juan due to size mismatches. Cowing should be getting 3-5 targets a game due to his first step speed but he won't because shanahan hates young players.

3. We don't have a quick possession guy who can actually get open in one step. Brady had Welker, Edelman, and Amendola. All better quick one step guys who can get open on a quick slant. This means Brock just headhunts all game for deep routes l. The receivers don't get open for multiple yards .

The coaching staff somewhat recognized this in the draft when we got cowing and pears all. Problem is shanahan likely won't play them for 2 years when the team will be completely different.

4. In game player management. Coaches never play young players unless forced. They are also idiots at midgame management. Perfect example last game. Mason rips off a big 35 yard run. What does the coaching staff do... Immediately hand him the ball again for a 2 yard gain. Don't give the guy a play or two to catch his breathe. Just immediately go back to him. They do the same stupid stuff with the receivers too. Ayuik can catch a 50 yard pass and they will immediately call another long pass to him.

5. Usually some sort of choke timeout waste or boneheaded challenge clock management call.

Example last game ... Cards have the ball on like the 30. 2 minutes left. You know that your kicker is hurt. The only move to make is to let them score a TD and conserve your timeouts. Why..because simply you can only go for the touchdown anyway. Your kicker is out which means Brock needs a TD regardless so just conserve time and let them score...

This happens every game. Some sort of choke clock management or missed challenge or wasted challenge.

You could list off so many things, so many guys who helped cost us yesterday.

1) J. Brown an insane amount of missed tackles

2) Malik Mustapha standing there right next to Conner as he kept driving after initially getting stopped on the two point conversion

3) Purdy awful sack taken knocking us out of field goal range

4) Purdy not feeling the rush and getting the ball out quick to Kittle on our final offensive play

5) Purdy missing a touchdown to a wide open Jennings on the right sideline causing drive to end with field goal instead of 6

6) blitz not being picked up on our last offensive play

7) Horrific special teams coverage leading to Moody having to try to make a tackle and getting lost for the game and potentially up to the rest of the regular season. This cost us at least three more points later. Also gave them great field position and I believe led to more points for AZ.

8) Yiadom giving up an awful completion on a total duck on fourth down

9) Ward getting burnt all day

10) Hufanga missing tackles before leaving hurt

11) Mason horrific fumble fighting for yards at the 10 when he clearly wasn't gonna be getting anything while swarmed by four AZ defenders

12) Brendel got absolutely destroyed in the run game a good chunk of the game.

It was an awful team performance all around.

If you're going to try then go for an endzone shot. Or throw it up and maybe you get a flag like our DBs do in the worst of moments. Calling a safe play outside the 10 hoping to pin em deep is loser mentality.
Kittle had 3 drops ...

great breakdown, 8 and 11 were the worst for me. Obviously the fumble, but when Murray throws that floater up and it lands, I was speechless.
Imagine if they had lost by 32 like the 94 team did. This place would be empty due to all the suicides.

I think I also need to add calling three straight passes from the two yard line too. The entire team and coaching staff had insanely bad moments but honestly, the offense was much worse. 3 turnovers and multiple trips inside the ten without points is bottom feeder level play.

This isn't the 94 team. Not even close.

At this point they aren't. If they perform to their talent level they could be.

Spot-on, OTC. Would only add one more thing: the missed tackles were a widespread issue—although I agree that it felt like Huf and Brown (and Mustapha) hurt the team the most.
