I feel like this thread is going to become a regular thing this year.
Purdy played the stupidest game I've seen since Kaepernick threw 4 INT against Arizona in 2015

Our DL contain on Mahomes TD run was roasted by Brady

Winters overran tackles so many times

Mason fumbling in scoring position a few weeks ago, and the idiotic dancing at the first down line all the time

The fake punt allowed @ LA.

The jumping offsides multiple times.

These are all mental mistakes. If it's true that you can't fix stupid, then we need to purge the idiot players from the squad.

I'm not saying Purdy is one of those, this was an outlier game. But the ones who fail mentally, consistently.. They need to go.

I like this thread! Thanks for starting. Looking big picture the root cause to our performance, in my opinion, is the poor drafting in the last three drafts. We are seeing the affect of the Lance trade up and underwhelming picks. The injuries to our starters has exposed a very subpar backup with little promise.
2024 draft looks good thus far but we need more.
I can't believe Lynch and Kyle don't get more scrutiny for their terrible pics.

Let's get better at running the football stopping the run, and all special teams aspect.
It's been like 26 years since the 49ers have had a franchise QB.
I think the overall of why I was so livid after yesterday's game was..

We didn't just lose, we were humiliated in one of the most highly promoted and watched games of the year while every hateful naysayer in the universe got themselves validated to the maximum extent possible.

Similar to the Ravens game last year...but this was worse because we added a season ending injury to our top wideout.

Also the game vs Baltimore we moved the ball up and down the field just couldn't avoid TOs.

Sunday was an absolute disaster on offense.
I'm so over Shanahan.
It really seems like the entire league has caught on to limiting our style of offense.

It's hard to not feel like the sky is falling.

What was just a few games all season last year has been most games this year...no yac.
This team is cooked. As soon as everyone realizes that this place will be happier.

49ers will have a losing record this year. Book it.

What I am hearing is they are playing man to disrupt timing while using the safeties/LB's to take away the bread and butter middle anticipation throws. Kyle wants to counter and is trying, but does not have the talent along the offensive line to do so. Oddly enough it reminds me of how teams in the 90's finally adapted better to the west coast offense etc.

I would say, build the Dallas 90's line and just destroy the defense by running it through their souls since defenses tend to become lighter and faster to counter the West Coast/Kyle's type of scheme, but the players today (especially defenders) are far more athletic across the board so not as easily done. They also have to actually invest in the o line as well.

If we can actually get CMC back 100% healthy, he is that good that the run game becomes effective again then everything else cascades from that.
All dignity lost. Any respect analysts had for us evaporated. All haters and doubters validated. It was THAT bad.

I've started to accept that it just really isn't our year. We are not the dynasty team. KC is. We are top 3 probably but certainly not this year.

Kyle is having a down year. Our guys are struggling on a weekly basis to make the plays we did the past two years.

Across entire position groups, guys just aren't winning their match-ups.

Brock is mostly good but when it's a bad day, it's a horrific day.

The worst guys on the field have shown up again and again, but injuries or lack of a better option have put them in that position. The weak spots on our team are so obvious now and so numerous, that there's not as much you can do to cover for them. Probably more so on defense.

This is exactly right but what is frustrating is it was obvious at the end of last season and the FO didn't do enough to address it. You saw Shanny trying to run all those play earlier this season out of shotgun with more deep routes but the protection wasn't there. And Purdy started seeing shadows and getting happy feet even when it was.

Yup, the moment I realized Purdy was legit I wanted an improved o-line after that Eagles game. They by and far ignored it, so here we are. I mean thank god they hit on Puni. Imagine otherwise. Our center is terrible so fingers crossed Feliciano can actually come back and improve that. If he can I believe we could see a significant turn around.

I said before the season I would be surprised as heck if the 49ers made it back to the SB this year. It's been non-stop for this team since 2019. They are struggling physically and mentally, and it's expected. At this point, play the rooks more, play with more swag but play with a lot more discipline, let the chips fall where they may, and you never know, we still have 10 games to go. And if we can stay healthy and we get our reinforcements back, and with a key trade or two, this team could make a run for the playoffs.
