The 49ers are a team that has reach the summit and are now in decline. Purdy showed on Sunday that his doubters are correct. Take away the tools and he is just an average to below average quarterback. They have forgotten the O line and that shows. I expect a losing season this year and it will be interesting to see if they make the playoffs as a wild card. Time to begin to rebuild and do it quickly. The biggest problem is the draft. They are not drafting to strengthen what the team needs. We all saw a dynasty on Sunday, and it wasn't the 49ers, it is the Chiefs.

The 49ers have had worse records than this in previous seasons and still made the playoffs. The problem this year is too many key injuries. Sure Purdy has struggled without his weapons. What QB wouldn't. Stafford and the Rams aren't doing well with their playmakers out. If they do nothing else but get CMC back and healthy the team will look much better. DCs won't be able to clamp down on the receivers as much.

Oh I'm sure there will be a few fans (some of this very forum) that will refer to the Shanahan era as the glory years.

I don't believe we'll lose today, but in the event something extremely abnormal happens...
