Good post and agree. I don't think we'll get rid of Samuel, but Hargrave is a no brainer. I think Greenlaw will look to get LB #1 money, and we won't be able to afford it.
A lot also depends on who's our DC next week. Floyd and Matos offer cap savings as a June 1st cut, so we could see a seismic reset depending on DC and scheme decisions.
I think 2026 offseason is when Lynch will push Kyle to do a soft reset on the offensive side. Purdy + CMC + Samuel + Aiyuk + Kittle + Williams will likely account for more than 2/3 of the salaries. 4 are "aging" vet status relative to their age and position, which is not good for cap health.
Freudian slip?
Got a 2 month old at home. I'm lucky if I'm somewhat coherent in life.
Assuming we don't right the ship for 2024 we will have a better draft slot than 31, but that point may belong in the silver linings thread.
We need to re-tool, and that would put us in position to grab an impact player or players, if we played our cards right.

The drop off after Mason goes off the field is huge. I expect two new RBs in the draft. Taylor and Guerrendo aren't it

Seems like Kyle has been trying to find a replacement for Juice for a couple years, would not shock me if it happened this year

I have a feeling we may not keep Juice much longer. We should probably try to get cheaper there, or stop using a fullback altogether. So, as far as salary casualty guys, I'm definitely looking at Juice, Hargrave, Deebo
As far as guys that definitely need to be replaced for performance or simple lack of value right now, I'd say the following:
WR Ronnie Bell
OL Jake Brendel
OL Spencer Burford
OL Ben Bartch
OL Nick Zakelj
OT Colton McKivitz
S JAyir Brown
LB Campbell
LB Winters
LB Graham
LB Flannigan Fowles
CB Isaac Yiadom
DE Robert Beal
Brendel and McKivitz can stay as backups. The rest I want gone for good.

I think Kyle will replace Juice with more of an H-Back/move TE

I'd rather lose out at this point since we have no chance at a Super Bowl this year. Just get a better pick and trade down to load up on the assets we need to move forward with the next young core on this team.
We need three new OL, another top separator at WR, a future TE1, two more starting caliber LB, a star FS, a star DT, and another top DE.
That's 10 guys. We should have 9 picks. Maybe we can trade a player for something.
