I'm almost legally blind watching on a computer screen and saw it hit the hand live.

Because the call on the field got changed it opened up a new outcome none of them realized at the time which was the ball hit the Seattle players finger. Giving the 49ers the ball after review basically hands them the game there and it would have been due to a reversal of a reversal of a call on the field and the NFL couldn't allow that. They kept the call on the field even though any moron can see it hit the Seattle player. All to keep the game from being over so we keep watching. What a f**king joke, really hard to see this as anything other than game fixing."
I think they didn't look at the replay on the bounce up. Just when the ball dropped.

I'm honestly not even convinced it didn't clip his foot/leg on the way down before the bounce up and hitting his fingers...
I'm pretty sure the statement from captveg is at least partially correct though. I think the refs screwed up, realized they screwed up and doubled down. Whether it was for ratings or just to save face.

Embarrassing that they got this wrong. I even had my Luter Jr atonement arc ready to go.

Can you imagine if we lost this game? It would go down as the worst call of the year and lead to widespread changes. Because we won, the NFL will sweep it under the rug and just move on as if nothing happened. If I am Kyle I am telling the league, in no uncertain terms, "YOU OWE ME ONE."

And it wasn't even a close call. All the refs on the field. The replay booths, NY, the jumbotrons, hd 4k super slow mo, and they still missed it. Lol
Its like the interception touchdown between sea and gb with the replacements but luckily for the nfl this botched called didn't matter.

I'm so long past the typical garbage that the NFL has turned into. It's no longer a sport....it's sports entertainment, and if you told Goodell he could make a $1 profit but had to kill his mother....
It's been fairly obvious during the Brady run, but with Mahomes, it's gone up a level or two to a point where if you deny it, you're clearly a Chiefs fan or you're in on it. There are stories and narratives to be told, and the league is down for all of it. Last nights non-call was simply to keep the masses interested in a game because it remained a competitive game. Along with keeping fans glued to the tube, and gambling being outright promoted by the NFL, it's not too much of a stretch to believe these 'mistakes' are more inline with game fixing.
The product on the field has certainly regressed, so when you add in these shenanigans, (or anything against SF - Shahanigans) it puts another nail in the coffin when it comes to my interest in NFL football.

Maybe for botched calls like this they should give the team one free option in their next game to overturn any calls against them. So if the refs call a PI, then the team can revert that decision once during that game.
