Crazy thing about it was that it wasn't an automatic review… Kyle threw the challenge flag and they still half-assed it.
It's hard to believe they didn't have the same views as we saw. The whole review process needs to be reviewed. Many of them take way too long and it kills the momentum of the game.

It's so sad to see just how poor the officiating has become these days. Thankfully we won the game anyway.

I'm glad that didn't come back to lose the game for us but holy F that is absolute insanity that the NFL can allow that garbage to happen.
Billions of dollars and you don't have the same angle or high def quality that the TV audience gets? They were literally announcing the ball was staying with the Seahawks as we were being shown the guy clearly touching the ball. Someone from NY should've instantly been on the radio with those guys and fixed a call of that magnitude.
I have 0 doubts if it was the Chiefs they would've gotten the call right.

How did Kyle know so quickly that the ball touched the Seattle player? Was he just taking a chance with incomplete information?

On top of that, do you all remember the call prior in the game where they took the Holding Call (or was it PI) back that clearly was worth an Flag?

I wouldn't call that poor officiating. The review process is what was flawed not the guys on the field. At least they admit that they blew it so maybe they will take measures to improve the process.
As a long time football fan I have to say that I don't think instant replay has helped the game. Yes it corrects some missed calls but it's also slowed the game down. Looking to see if the ball is moving as a receiver crosses the sideline is BS. When the officials made the calls and that was it the game moved quicker and was more enjoyable to watch. Even with the replays fans still argue if they got it right.

Here's the biggest issue for me: The NFL's recent embrace of gambling has really opened the door for fans to believe—rightfully or not—that the games can be bought and manipulated by the league, the refs, and Vegas. The NFL has to recognize that issue, and it should be doing everything in its power to combat it. Situations like the one we saw last night will only raise more suspicions. It's a terrible look.

The thing is if the NFL was ever found to be fixing or manipulating outcomes it could kill a multi billion dollar industry. They wouldn't risk the scandal.

I'm not saying the NFL is fixing or manipulating anything. Rather, fans now have greater reason to think that it's possible in light of the prominence of sports gambling. The NFL needs to fight that perception by getting things correct on the field. Last night's incident did them no favors.

Okay. I misunderstood what you were saying. Fans love conspiracies. We see it every day on this sight with people saying the refs never call penalties on the Chiefs (they were 6th in the league last year).
I never got over that sack fumble from Ahmad Brooks on Drew Brees in 2013 that got flagged and nfl later on admit it was the wrong call when Brooks won his appeal. That game arguably would've won us the 1 seed that year…nfl is a joke.

WRONG, They never call penalties in the Super Bowl on the Chiefs. But as of late they don't call the obvious penalties the Chiefs do. f**k the NFL and the Chiefs!!!

This is ugly. The NFL headquarters already called into the game to get the Jennings catch overturned so the NFL headquarters was watching. Seems like they need to be talking to the official during these reviews to ensure everything is covered.
Fans at the game also stated they did not show the replays in the stadium, probably bc they would see he touched it, so does the home team control what the official sees?
