Should we be sellers at trade deadline?

We're 1 game out of first. This is big loser energy.

At some point team needs to think big picture. This team, as currently constructed, is not going to contend for a SB. Will be lucky to even make the playoffs with the brutal schedule that's left. So what's the point of holding on to players like Ward for a few more games? If we can offload him for some draft capital that can help towards next year, then they should definitely do that instead.

This!

It's not how the team is constructed. If all the players were healthy we would be seeing a different result. CMC is just one player but he has an enormous impact on the offense and consequently what the opposing defenses do. The other receivers get different coverage because defenses need to be concerned with CMC.

On defense the really miss Greenlaw. They miss his ability to blitz. They miss his energy out there. It makes Warner nedd to do more than he normally would.

Two players that can make a huge difference. Let's hope they both get back healthy after the bye.

49ers don't need to sell, they need to buy!!!! They really need to add a new LB is a statue out there in coverage, his awareness is also horrible. And now they need to add another WR to the mix, this sucks because Aiyuk was just re-signed to his Lamborghini contract. All that s**t talking he did in the off season and this is how he pays the organization back, by having a subpar year and now he injured his knee. I wish they would bench McKivitz and give someone else a look but that's not happening, that last INT was all on him. Piss me off!!!

They need to add new players NOW and not wait for the trade deadline.

We have multiple holes. O line, D line, Safety, Depth etc etc. Stay put is obvious. Sell is more realistic than buy imo.

He didn't hurt his knee, a Chief did.

The biggest holes are at Center and RT, but Shanahan and co. aren't gonna touch that. Same with Safety, aside from Mustapha, Brown is a liability but Lynch isn't gonna tell Sorensen to bench him don't ask why. WR and LB are the only two positions they can or will mess with.

No one trades OL mid-season, so it's a moot point.
We are sitting at #14 in the draft as we speak. If we keep losing we can get into the top 10 and we probably will.
At end of the season we need to cut Hargrave, Elliot. Need to Trade Deebo and let Ward Walk.

Have to address Center, guard, tackle, run stuffer, and an edge. Some through draft and some through free agency. I am praying Brock pulls a Brady and doesn't ask for the Brink truck. I was never a big Saleh guy, but bring him back. God knows he aint getting another head coach position, so we can have some consistency at that coordinator position.

To me, fire Sorensen and make Staley earn his pay for the rest of the year.

I'm not even talking trades at OL, I'm talking in-house or street free agents. How McKivitz gets so many passes is beyond me.

I agree with you.
How can we be sellers if all our good players are injured? Ok we could sell Trent and get Brock killed? Or do we sell Boss and give up 45 a game?
Yeah lets sell🙄
When did this fan base turn into whiney east coast fans.

I was referring to players that the team is not going to be re-signing in the off-season. Keep the guys that we have locked up and/or have big cap hits if traded. But others like Ward and Hufanga that might be on their way out, see if you can get some good comp for them. Let Green take over and develop.

Posters are getting this confused with blow the team up. That's not what I was saying.

Instead of being buyers like previous years, when we were a player or two away from SB, we should be selling and setting this team up for next year.

We have waaay too many injuries at this point to be true contenders. We need to look at big picture, next year and after that.

we are a game out of first in a weak division. this division is so bad.
At some point, we need to be honest about the situation and put feelings aside.

Yeah, we can probably still pull out the division letting a player or to go when players like Greenlaw comeback.

Posters are confusing this thread with trade Kittle. Bosa, TW, Warner, etc
that's not at all what I was referring to. I'm talking about players that we will not be retaining either way at end of season.
