At some point, we need to be honest about the situation and put feelings aside.
Yes, let's be honest.
What do you honestly think the locker room reaction would be if Kyle/Lynch walked in and said "We're one game off first in the division, it's not even midseason, but we're going to start moving some of you on so we can build for next year."
That's why this thread is pretty pointless. We're not selling.
What you tell them is we believe in you Renardo Green to become the player we drafted you to be. We see great things in you. We believe you can hold down the spot opposite Lenoir.
To the rest of the team, get your head out your ass or your getting shipped too. Enough of capitulating to players and their feelings. That hasn't got us we're we are trying to go. Take a page out of Walsh and Belichick let players know the team is bigger than any player.
Knew you'd say that. Locker room would be lost in 5 seconds flat. Good luck telling a bunch of guys who believe they are part of a SB roster to just accept giving up.
Weird that you talk about capitulating to feelings when your own frustration/emotion is over riding logic.
Even weirder that you take a hard no nonsense approach while simultaneously waving the white flag.
It might sound good coming from a fan POV, but it wouldn't work in reality.
You must think that this roster is soft, to think they will fall a part when a player or two get traded. The same team that stuck together when their QB "of the future" got dealt for a 4th, after spending 3 1st on the guy. Anyone is expendable after that. If you think, they would give up because a couple of players get traded says more about you and your way of thinking. Remember they are playing for paychecks and legacy. This isn't a HS team lol
Still think we're a SB roster? you still living in fantasy land. You think this team with all the injuries going on is going to win a SB lol Last year, they were healthy as can be and still couldnt do the job.
sounds like you don't have confidence in our young guys to step up. Just say that.
Did I say they were soft? No, I said telling a bunch of guys to pack it a third of the way through season when you're only one game off the division lead is a great way to lose the locker room.
Did I say they were going to win a SB? Nope, try again.
Where did I say I don't have confidence in our young players? Another swing and a miss. I just don't think throwing them all in there because "lets give up" is the solution either, especially if that's the mentality you're sending them onto the field with.
Trey got delt because we had a better option. You're just willing to part with players and wave the white flag for a couple extra lottery tickets in the draft when we'd probably get better comp picks by just letting them walk.
Maybe spend a bit more time arguing your point instead of attempting to mind read me and project my thoughts because that's all your reply was.
So much irony in this post.
First of all, Talk about missing. When did I say give up on the season? In your words "wave the white flag". You may want to take your own advice. Maybe go and reread my post in this thread before jumping to that conclusion.
second, Why would you assume Kyle will lose the team if he trades a player or two? It sure seems like you're insinuating that they are mentally soft. That they would check out for the remainder of the season, if they made a trade. As if they still don't have millions of reason to continue playing.
third, what was your point of bringing up "SB roster", then? Yeah, at the beginning of the season it was a "SB roster". But at this juncture, you really think it's a "SB roster"?
anyways, I've stated my opinion on the topic. You disagree and that is fine. No reason to get your panties in a bunch. ✌️
