All wrong. Purdy is absolutely allowed to change the play, and we discussed this ad nauseam in his thread including posting actual evidence from Kyle Shanahan's playbook. Brock Purdy literally canned to a draw on 3rd and 10 early in the game.

For whatever reason, the average low football IQ fan thinks that audibling a play means randomly picking a new play. It doesn't. (talking about these morons on twitter for clarification)

Audibles are preset. Hence, he has the ability to change it to one of the other preset plays. Likely, I would guess, within whatever formation they are running at the time.

Sure doesn't.

officiating was disgraceful

Its Bill Vinovich. Its like Scott Foster reffing a game with Chris Paul in it. He shouldn't be allowed to ref anymore 49ers games.

Call me a conspiracist, I don't care but I have a theory that the NFL is dictated by referees using sophisticated probabilities and analytics. They can't control everything and can't completely fix games but they can completely change momentum and turn the games in many different ways.

And that's how games get fixed... they know how to make a game stay under the total, point spreads get F'd with, etc. They do little things here n there through out the game. When it looks real obvious in the end and looks like they're trying to help a team win, a lot of times that is the case because they aren't perfect.

Their timing isn't always on que and even they mess up at times, but they know how to F up a game w/out looking like they did. They (evil zebras) practice their craft
Bosa is the man! Like all Niners fans, we all love and support Donald Trump!

I think pretty much anyone follows football seriously knows that you're given two plays in most offenses in the league. I have no idea why people try to act like checking to another play that was called is an audible. Either they don't understand the terminology or they don't get what an audible is.

Brock Says he only changes plays a handful of times in a Season. Yes he can, but no he almost never does. And yes, some and most coaches do build in alternative plays to go to, but Kyle's basic philosophy is that options are already built in for blitzes and different defenses etc in all of his plays. Take it for what it's worth.
It's pretty wild to think how many rookies we are relying on to start and contribute meaningful snaps.

Ricky Pearsall had a good game
Renardo Green has been playing meaningful snaps
Dominick Puni has been a blessing as a starter
Malik Mustapha is showing great signs as a starter
Isaac Guerrendo looked good today
Jacob Cowing has been playing more and taking over as the punt returner

Great to see and hopefully they continue to gain more comfort and confidence. Solid early returns from the draft class.
lol

Thats every offense. Qbs don't completely change the play call unless you are Aaron Rodgers. Look how that's going.

I feel like a lot of football fans think QB's just throw out brand new plays while at the line of scrimmage like its Madden in real life. Even guys like Brady and Matt Ryan weren't calling their own plays other than what was already given to them in the huddle in terms of deciding between run or pass and adjusting some protections as needed.

Dudes were arguing with AQ Shipley about Brady doing that for the Bucs when Shipley was on the team himself.

Correct, and that's why Aaron Rodgers, or perhaps more appropriately, Tom Brady, never landed on a Kyle Shanahan team.

Brady wasn't calling his own plays either. Rodgers went rogue because he's a dick and now he's stuck on a s**tty Jets team.
Heal up and enjoy the time off. Reinforcement is coming soon. Good win!
