What I hate about playing teams coming off a bye week is they get a chance to try to fix the issues they have. I certainly hope Dallas wasted their time unlike KC(who clearly found a way to inject life into their ailing redzone offense)

This is why the NFL f*cking us with all these post bye matchups from some of our biggest rivals is complete BS.

This schedule is a total joke. The Niners are playing back to back games against teams coming of a bye week. How is this even possible?

The schedule is supposedly auto generated to an extent but I think the competition committee needs to be involved or something. Schedule has to be coded some was as not not allow more than a certain negative rest advantage IMO.

I think it's absolutely pivotal in achieving fairness across the league.

I won't be surprised either. Less talented defenses have also caused issues with our passing attack.

On the defensive side, I just hope dak doesn't have a big day otherwise it's an L and our chances of even smelling the playoffs is over even before the bye. Past years we had some leeway to lose a few games and still be okay. This year that leeway is out the window. The rams with Kupp and Nakua back, they are probably going to get hot.

At minimum the same team shouldn't be the clear outlier as the worst rest differential in consecutive years. f**king absurd.

Doesn't help that we're playing to that either.

Yeah that's not totally accurate. Mason has been great but he's also had plenty of cases where he doesn't read things correctly and we miss bigger runs.

There's no question we miss CMC in a BIG way. Mostly in the redzone but also because his vision and decision making in this offense are elite and as good as Mason is he's just not that level of player.

We should treat this game as a must win.

The silver lining in all of this is that if we do not trade Purdy, we will now definitely get him at a discount as he is now a Top 15 QB behind Geno Smith and Sam Darnold.

We saw what he could do without McCaffrey which was not much.

Yes...not much.

After easily his worst game of his career against KC PFF has him ranked as the #5 QB in the NFL. He was #1 for most of this season. He's 3rd in the NFL in Big Time Throws.

He's 2nd in the NFL in Intended Air Yards per attempt.
He's 2nd in the NFL in Completed Air Yards per Completion
He's 1st in the NFL in Completed Air Yards per attempt
He's 28th in the NFL in YAC per completion
He's 3rd in the NFL in passing yards
He's 11th in TDs

So yeah...not much
I dont know who is winning this one but if the niners lose right before the bye, there's going to be some wholesale changes coming within the next two weeks. the yorks won't be embarrassed on national TV versus the cowboys at home.

also one thing to keep in mind now that niners are without aiyuk and jennings is teams will no longer fear our passing, so Mason will more likely see stacked boxes

Dollars to donuts we come in with a pass-heavy game plan. This is a perfect opportunity for Kyle to show his "genius".

The easy answer: run the f**king ball.

The Kyle answer: Dallas is weak against the run and doesn't fear our second string receivers, they will most certainly stack the box to stop the run. So… we must force the ball to our second string receivers to highlight the cowboys tactical errors.

Overthinking it

I agree that he should still run the ball vs the cowboys, but as far as rest of season goes....mason will have much less room to run, esp vs top tier defenses.
Rewatching the 2022 PO Game of Dallas and SF. I miss the 2022 season minus the injury to Purdy.

I fully expect though, we beat the Girls!
