Should the 4-4 49ers go all in or all out at the trade deadline?

What do you say?

trade for Dionte Johnson, Andre Cisco and Harold Landry. f**k them picks
FA?

are you talking next March? we won't have much cap space

Oops. Fixed.
With an aging core, this may be the last chance, In addition to the normal injury attrition, aging players sustain more frequent injuries and recover slower.

Tough decision. If the FO goes all in (draft picks) and it fails (a la Trey Lance), the future is bleak until a total rebuild happens.

in that case, I still stay "in", but maybe not "all in"

we were 3-4 two years ago and made the NFCCG, 4-3 last year and made the SB
currently 1 game back in the division to a team we beat handedly two weeks ago

I wouldn't trade any day 1 or day 2 picks, but we could use another impact player or two

been calling for more pass rush all year long -- Arden Key, Zadarius Smith would be my top two targets

Daniel Brunskill is an OLmen that might actually be available, he's not starting, on a bad team and obviously has experience in our system. Would be an improvement over Brendel/Burford

edit: but we have to at least TRY to make a push with Purdy on his last season of his rookie deal

I'd go all in for a better oline at this point.
Trade top 15 picks in each round for 5 more wins? I say No!

I'm kinda with you, f**k them picks but don't touch the 1st round pick, that's a special one.

I still want a good Safety too. Jiayir Brown needs to sit.

FTFY
The Athletic had a rumored trade that Miles Garrett could be had for two 1st rounders. I would take that in a heart beat.
Finally feeling the effects of the second worst trade of all time. The Lance chickens are coming home to roost, lack of depth and losing those top picks had to hurt eventually. Team has too many holes right now.
The Chiefs trade made sense because they are performing well and needed a boost at WR to improve their odds. They are adding to a successful formula. For the 49ers to trade away assets for some mid tier option would be disastrous. They need those picks to reduce their cap in coming years and to build for the future. The team is riddled with injuries and not likely going anywhere. The injuries occurred at positions they've invested heavily in (WR), and it's time to see what we got.

On the positive, both Pearsall and Cowing looked pretty good against a tough Chiefs secondary. Jacob Cowing in particular was roasting his CB regularly. Watch the film. There's a slant he runs against a corner in press man and he roasts him at the break with nearly 2 yards separation. The very next play after that was the 40 yard bomb he caught. Lots to like.

Nope. Game ova.
Definitely no. There are too many holes and it's not worth it. Too many things would have to go right.

-terrible center.
-no LB depth and banking on Greenlaw coming back playing to form.
-Aiyuk out for the year
-Both safety positions
-Questions on CMCs injury. How's he going to be and is this going to flare up again?
-DL depth and talent. Other than Bosa, it's really lacking here.
-Our DC hasn't been very promising so far. Looks just as bad as last year.
