That's who I want

Wonder what it would take to get him? Liked him as a pass rusher from his Georgia days.

No one is forcing you to go to football games or watch the 49ers

it's like complaining about gas prices when you drive a hummer.

once again another strawman take that lacks perspective when looking at the NFL as a whole

I'm ok with making an annual trade for a fourth rounder or lower

I really dont think we have that many movable pieces if we were to sell. Mooney/Dmo/Floyd on defense and Deebo on offense are probably the only guys who would generate any type of impact capital return.

If we do anything I say this is the best option. Spending a late round pick to help an area in need isn't awful. I saw some DT who can help with the run game makes sense. Would be a cheap option but the trade deadline is fast approaching so I do wonder if the 49ers are just going to stay put.
some defensive lineman that we should be interested in trading for…

Shelby Harris
DJ jones
Buckner
Campbell
Za'Darius Smith
Preston Smith
Khalil Mack
Keion White
Carl Granderson
Azeez Ojulari
Harold Landry
Arden Key

I read on here that the Colts just gave Buckner an extension would the Colts really trade him? If so, yes he would be my #1 choice!!!! I also want Harold Landry, I wonder what it would take to get him? But I doubt Buckner and a Landry trade would happen. I see the 9ers going for older cheaper players like Za'Darius Smith or Khalil Mack who may only take a mid to late round pick to get them.
I love the Niners, always have and always will. But come-on.....we barely beat a crappy Cowboys team and almost blew yet another big lead.

Realistically, we have a fair shot at winning our division, especially if we 1) get some key injured players back and 2) don't lose any more key players to injury. However, it would take a LOT of upgrades to beat Detroit and advance to the SB......upgrades that we cannot really afford without completely screwing our future for years. I do not want to mortgage the future by being in Cap trouble for years or by giving away key draft picks unless it makes us the clear favorite to win the SB. I doubt it would do that based on the season thus far.

I hope I'm wrong and we can turn this around, but this so far has NOT looked even remotely like a team that can win the SB. I'll cheer my team on each week, just like I did through all of the dark years when we sucked, but I truly believe what is best is to do a mini-rebuild, get younger, shed bloated salary, and come back even stronger in a few years. We had several chances and almost won it all, but our window is gone.....hoping it comes back very soon.

You really think Lynch and Paraag would put this team in salary cap trouble!! They've done exactly the opposite and are very aware of their cap situation. Charvarius Ward most likely won't be back, they'll get much cheaper at CB. Instead of paying two they'll only have to pay Lenoir. Hargrave I believe they'll ask him to take a pay cut or they'll release him, I heard 2025 is an early out to his contract. After those two there's really not much bloated contracts to get rid of. You could say Deebo, but cutting him would be like a $31 mil in dead cap space, not sure how smart that would be. Keep in the 49ers have $52 million in cap space right now, so they have wiggle room to do something.

Shelby Harris makes a ton of sense
DJ Jones probably not on the block as long as the Ponies are in the playoff hunt
Buckner is a pipe dream
Calais Cambell is pass for me
Z Smith would be great
P Smith would be meh
Mack would be great but like Jones I don't think he's available as long as they have a chance. plus Harbs trading to 49ers I feel like there's still gonna be resentment.
White is my personal pipe dream
Granderson would be alright
Ojulari gets more expensive every time he plays
Landry would be a perfect compliment to Bosa
Key is meh
Yes for Jeffery Simmons or Buckner. Gotta make the package like CMC where we don't actually give up a first.

No way they cut Deebo. More likely trading him but even that's not likely. I think most people know Deebo is much better with Kyle and isn't going to do as well in a non-Kyle system.

Agreed on all the rest. We will go with Lenoir and Green at CB next year. Need to find a slot guy but probably draft someone or FA. I think the biggest issue is still the defensive line and the guard position. Banks is going to leave so who replaces him? A rookie? As for as D-Line I think Hargrave must take a pay cut and we need more tackle help. I'm assuming DE will be a wish list thing but with the various holes to fill I don't think it will be a priority.

Key and Landry would be cheap. I prefer more of a speed rusher like Landry or even Z Smith (to block Det in my opinion).

Alot of Shanahan disciples out there running similar schemes. Deebo would have a market

I prefer a run stopper at DT right now. We need depth at line and really getting just a mid-type player who doesn't cost too much in terms of draft picks would be great. Can we find someone who costs us a 6 or 7?
