You really think Lynch and Paraag would put this team in salary cap trouble!! They've done exactly the opposite and are very aware of their cap situation. Charvarius Ward most likely won't be back, they'll get much cheaper at CB. Instead of paying two they'll only have to pay Lenoir. Hargrave I believe they'll ask him to take a pay cut or they'll release him, I heard 2025 is an early out to his contract. After those two there's really not much bloated contracts to get rid of. You could say Deebo, but cutting him would be like a $31 mil in dead cap space, not sure how smart that would be. Keep in the 49ers have $52 million in cap space right now, so they have wiggle room to do something.

No way they cut Deebo. More likely trading him but even that's not likely. I think most people know Deebo is much better with Kyle and isn't going to do as well in a non-Kyle system.

Agreed on all the rest. We will go with Lenoir and Green at CB next year. Need to find a slot guy but probably draft someone or FA. I think the biggest issue is still the defensive line and the guard position. Banks is going to leave so who replaces him? A rookie? As for as D-Line I think Hargrave must take a pay cut and we need more tackle help. I'm assuming DE will be a wish list thing but with the various holes to fill I don't think it will be a priority.

Alot of Shanahan disciples out there running similar schemes. Deebo would have a market

Shanahan is better off with Deebo than he is without him. But man is this guy hurt a lot, if a team came calling with a 2nd round pick it might happen!!! I prefer to keep him rather than trade him, IMO if you ask me. But if Pearsall explodes in the second half of the season then I bet Deebo chances of becoming trade bait increases, especially if they make a trade at WR.

Harold Landry
Arden Key

Shelby Harris makes a ton of sense
DJ Jones probably not on the block as long as the Ponies are in the playoff hunt
Buckner is a pipe dream
Calais Cambell is pass for me
Z Smith would be great
P Smith would be meh
Mack would be great but like Jones I don't think he's available as long as they have a chance. plus Harbs trading to 49ers I feel like there's still gonna be resentment.
White is my personal pipe dream
Granderson would be alright
Ojulari gets more expensive every time he plays
Landry would be a perfect compliment to Bosa
Key is meh

Yeah I don't see any real big names at DL that will be on the block that SF would go for.

One of the browns DL would be ideal and most logical.

Key and Landry would be cheap. I prefer more of a speed rusher like Landry or even Z Smith (to block Det in my opinion).

I prefer a run stopper at DT right now. We need depth at line and really getting just a mid-type player who doesn't cost too much in terms of draft picks would be great. Can we find someone who costs us a 6 or 7?

Z smith makes a ton of sense. He can play all over that DL. He would take over that YGM role. Harris still pretty good vs the run and can bring a little heat inside as a pass rusher as well
I imagine Lynch has contacted nearly every team regarding players that might be available. It all comes down to what they want in exchange and the Niners don't have high draft picks to give up.

Good list of potential targets! Thanks for this.

They got a 3rd round comp pick they can part with and I think that's the highest they go.

Have to be a damn good player to use that comp pick

This team is really thin overall, so even some decent depth guys that would allow the 9ers to cycle more their defensive linemen as they are used to doing. Because of the departures and injuries, they are starting 2nd stringers and sub-ing in 3rd stringers.

All in! Use our young talent! Our last draft was very good, but you have to play them. Mix our young studs with a key pick up or two, and we are back in business.

Panthers think they could get a 5th round pick for Dionte Johnson, so with that said give them a 6th rounder.

I know it's not gonna happen cause this FO would have to admit Brown isn't working out. But the reality is we have all box safeties and need a center field type even if Cisco is another questionable tackler. At least his angles are good

A 6th Rounder...and they'll like it!

What team isn't thin. With huge contracts being paid to about 4 or 5 players on each team there isn't a lot of money left to pay quality backups. The Giants had an O lineman starting last night that they just grabbed of the Niner practice squad.
