Should the 4-4 49ers go all in or all out at the trade deadline?

We're not a player away of winning the SB this season.

Absolutely get someone (or two). They're basically getting two players back after the bye in Dre and CMC. That's like trading for elite talent. add in some DL depth and or some WR depth and go play some ball.

teams are giving up nothing to get some of these players.

That's the thing, are we getting them back or gimped versions? Nobody knows so that is the gamble. But I agree with you and would operate as if they will be fine.

If there is a dlineman to be had who they believe can make a significant difference.... i say go for it. After that would be oline and safety. But I feel an upgrade to the trenches would be the biggest difference maker. Are any notable DT on the block?

I would love Landry, but not sure they can afford him.
One guy that might be a surprising trade candidate is Evan Neal RT got NYG. Dude hasn't played all year and his time in NY might be done. That OL has been so banged up and he's still not playing 🧐

Chris Hubbard who got signed off our PS played over him last week.

Didn't you just say Cam Robinson was just an average LT. But Neal a guy who can't get on the field after being a 1st round pick on a bad team is someone you'd consider? I wouldn't hate the move for the potential especially if we can get Ojulari and Neal for some later draft picks. But let's be real about Neal he's below average and not an upgrade over McKivitz like Robinson would have been.

I didn't say anything lol. I just said he might be available

another guy that might be movable is Devin Lloyd LBer for the Jags.

Yeah I saw that Lloyd might be available. I'm holding my breath that Greenlaw will be back really soon and won't be effected at all by rust and recovering from an achilles tear 😬
Brock is on his rookie deal. Go get a couple of pieces. Getting all the other guys back plus a nice addition or two should be a huge boost for this team.

Edit: If we cannot get an upgrade at RT, which is unlikely, add someone to the DL and LB group and we are cooking.

Kreuger put it best. If we beat Dallas, you have to go all in because this is probably the last year of your Super Bowl window. Lots of changes coming next season, so if you're banking this is "the last dance" then you have to treat it like that.

with that said, this team is not one or two trades away from being Super Bowl favorites. Even with CMC and Dre coming back, we've got bigger problems that start with coaching.

the dynasty is over folks. Time to start a mini rebuild…

Hopefully CMC and Greenlaw recoveries go as planned and no setbacks during the bye week. But getting those two back would be huge for the team along with trading for a player or hopefully two players could definitely solidify this team as the #1 team in the NFCW. But with that said, Nick Sorensen still has me worried and I'm still hoping that Shanahan makes a change next season.

I get the idea of Neal, but not for draft capital. I think if Feliciano can take over center and do a good job we can work with a weak RT. We need to upgrade the run d.
I hope Lynch Is doing his due diligence.

Get yourself a linebacker, DL and maybe a receiver and let's have another crack at winning the super bowl.
If you can get a star player that's more than a rental yes ! We can dream about Myles Garrett or Hendrickson.

Here you go again, the only one talking about a dynasty. Our Super Bowl window has been closed at least 2x now and yet here we are right in the thick of it all.

It must have sucked for you to watch this team beat Dallas. How upset were you?
I'm okay with a few low key adds that DON'T waste high draft picks, but don't want to mortgage the future on a big signing.

So far this season, we beat the Jets ( 2-6 ), the Patriots ( 2-6 ), the Seahawks ( 4-4 ) and the Cowboys ( 3-4 ).

Losing to the Vikings and Chiefs is understandable because they are good teams, losing to the Cardinals and a very beat up Rams team is not okay.

This just does not look like a SB contender to me anymore.....but I really hope that I'm wrong. I do think we can win the division still, and I guess once you get into the playoffs anything can happen, but it would be a very very very big longshot for us to win it all this year. A few years of solid draft picks and getting the average team age younger, and we can be back in a few years.

We have a tough schedule after the bye, but maybe we can get it rolling in the 2nd half of the year like we have done before!!
