Should the 4-4 49ers go all in or all out at the trade deadline?

I know some don't want to hear it, but maybe John and Kyle know this team is not a player away from making a deep run. So, probably going to sit this one out and go with what we have.

Does feel that way.

Theyve already checked this year up as a loss. As long as they can be like 8-9 and not worry about their jobs they will be happy.

I would give that a 0 out of 10 as the reason they might not make a trade.

They will tell us that getting back CMC and Dre is basically the same as trading for someone.

Adding a DL would help a ton though

Just getting into the postseason with this injured roster would be a success.anything after that would be gravy. Would definitely be better than 2020, that's for sure.

Regroup over the off-season and comeback better next year to make a serious run.

I think this is the situation.

They are getting CMC, Greenlaw, Joe F and a few others back in the coming weeks. They probably think that's enough. I don't blame them. This team looks super flawed probably even with those 3 guys.

Yeah, and no one knows how Greenlaw will look in his return this year. Might take until next season to get his legs fully back under him.

As far as CMC goes, his injury might still be a ticking time bomb. *knocks on wood* no one truly knows until he hits the field again.
If, he returns like himself and stays healthy then that will be awesome. But we have to be cautiously optimistic.
If we could somehow get Buckner, that would be amazing. I think it's unlikely though. Would fill a huge need though.

Unfortunately that may be the case

This seems like the right answer. I mean this team will need to win at least 6 more games this year to even maybe get to the playoffs. We aren't one player away from a Super Bowl. So far this year has been a major letdown for many reasons, not just our record, but the loss of really good players that aren't all coming back next week. Prior years we could at least hope that the players on the team could turn it around on their own. We don't have the players to do that. Greenlaw, BA, etc. aren't coming back to get us the win this week. Heck, even CMC ... who knows what he plays like in his first game back if it is this week.
What are you talking about. If healthy this team is good enough to win the Super Bowl. lol
35 minutes..
Come on John , let's go!!!!

Yep and considering our second half schedule is just much much more difficult. We have the Bills and Lions to contend with along with the Dolphins that look like a different team with Tua playing. Obviously our division opponents will give us problems so we'll see. I suspect we'll lose two out of the three against the Lions, Bills, and Dolphins. If that's the case then we basically need to win the rest of our games. That's going to be very tough.

Also @ Green Bay. I think they need 6 more wins to win the division including sweeping the remaining 3 games vs SEA/LAR and @AZ.
lol

you guys are ridiculous.... we're a 1/2 game out of first place in the NFCW and we're about to get the reigning OPOY back

if we don't make a trade in the next half hour, it's not because "we gave up" -- it's because we didn't like any of the deals available

Agree. I don't get the give up crowd. Especially at this point in the season.
John has given up on this year
