Should the 4-4 49ers go all in or all out at the trade deadline?

Grab some sort of pass rusher/interior guy. They need depth and rotation. YGM was suppose to be that guy they could move around the line. They don't have fish currently.

I don't think they need a WR. Ricky looks legit and Deebo/Kittle with a fresh CMC will get this job done.

watching Campbell in coverage is painful. No idea what's even available out there at LBer…but if it means getting Campbell off the field I'm all for it.

Mark Davis, the heir of Al Davis' empire. Their hatred for the 49ers knows no bounds.
The decision to go all in or not comes down to 1 player and that player is CMC. If he's healthy then go all in. If he's not, then don't.

it's pretty simple if you ask me.
This team has a ton of needs. They don't have the guys to win it all this season. They need to get younger.

There also needs to be a discussion in the offseason about unloading guys who aren't available for 17 games. Kittle, CMC, Samuel immediately come to mind. Availability is better than ability.

Kittle is one guy I wouldn't trade. He's too valuable in both the running and passing game. He's only missed 4 games in the last 4 seasons counting this year. Deebo is still good but he does get hurt a lot. With his big contract he might be hard to trade given that injury history. Same for CMC. Her's more valuable to the 49ers than he is to some other teams because of the way Kyle can use him. Other teams would probably be reluctant to give much for a RB his age now that the tendonitis has popped up.

I still think they need a WR, maybe not some big name WR but depth because Deebo has been in and out of the line up. They need more depth, Chris Conley doesn't seem to have any type of chemistry with Purdy. But yah, interior D-lineman and pass rusher. Also isn't Robert Beal injured too? Even more so a pass rusher now!!!

Godchaux is the easy choice.

Go get him.
to me it all just depends on the value of the player. I dont see us trading for a bo-na fide starter.

WR becomes a need if Deebo, Pearsall, or Jennings get hurt
LB is a need now but if Greenlaw returns sooner rather than later i wouldn't worry
Edge is always a need. Every team has this issue.
OL is always a need but rarely do the good ones get traded

I would say go for it but not trade a 1st or 2nd. The season hinged upon that Dallas game and there were a few instances, especially in the third-quarter, where we look like a really dominant team like 2023 again. I think Shanahan did figure some things out on how to manage these high blitzing teams. I also think Purdy is realizing he needs to check the ball down more. Offense was better. Defense has actually been decent (sans those last 2 drives). It's worth it with CMC, JJ, Greenlaw coming back in a bad division.
6th rd pick in 2026
