We screwed up by not winning a SB when we got there 2x under shanny. We all know how hard it is to get there.

Why would anyone buy a:

WR who's past him prime who can't run routes and is on a massive contract.
A LT past him prime who could retire at any moment and is on a massive contract.
A crap tackle.
A crap center.
An ok pass rusher.
An often injured safety.
A injured/overrated DT.
A Fullback in the later part of his career.

We'd get next to nothing for the vast majority of them.

I don't think they thought that, but I also think they knew they weren't one new piece away this year, either. They can't publicly say it but they know things aren't working right now the way they want.

I expect some big changes next offseason with the roster.

TBH i like what i see from Anderson and Davis at DT. They are getting bettter every week. Thats why you see the defense playing better overall imo.

The offense is off and the o line sucks.

Overall the coaching isnt as good this year.

I dont think they could have done much aside a center or RT which ive never heard of being traded in season before.

It's like playing Texas holdem. Why go all in if you're not going to be the last standing. Saved some chips for when you know you have a winning hand. The Super Bowl hangover is real and when Reid, Spags and the Chiefs put a whooping on us we were reminded how far off this team is on all phases.

Nothing could have fixed this team at the trade deadline. We are in rebuild mode. The problems run really deep.
