Worth has noting to do with it anymore. Salaries are now a popularity contest. Everyone needs to make more than the other guy. Imagine if it worked that way in all businesses.

single most frustrating aspect about Brock is his willingness to continue forcing into blanketed receivers which almost always results in a tipped ball back breaking interception.

JFC Brock, just dirt the ball and live to see another down.

Rodgers is washed and should retire.

If 60m is the going rate then we won't have a choice but to pay him (I don't think he's worth that salary though).

I highly doubt the team can or will move away from him, so I would offer a team friendly deal where we have some type of "out" after year 2 without taking a hit in the salary cap. Either that or give him an incentive friendly deal so that he makes more if he hits certain benchmarks.

But giving him a 5 year 60m per contract similar to Dak would be ludicrous. Brock is a good quarterback, but I wouldn't consider him an elite carry the franchise on his back type quarterback that we should commit to for the next ten years. At least not yet….

It's OK to think Brock is really good and want him to be our long term QB, while also recognizing that it doesn't seem likely we can be competitive if he takes 25% of our cap.

I know a lot of people will be against this (those same people were against signing Brady a few years ago bc they thought he was washed up as well. Oops)

the reason Rodgers "sucks" in NY is because they expected him to carry the team like Mahomes or Allen. He can't do that anymore. But if you give him an offense and let him play game manager then I think he could flourish.

it would be a doomsday scenario but assuming we don't have Brock for whatever reason, would I be comfortable with Rodgers under center with CMC, Kittle, Pearsall, Deebo, ? Aiyuk (later in the season) ? Definitely yes.
