I wouldn't go all that far. He was considered promising but a lot of his hype came from his coach in college being a guy who coached Peyton and Eli Manning. Arm was considered so so. Decision making at times considered so so.

Better QB rating, QBR, and lower interception percentage than Mahomes. Pretty much all quarterbacks look and play worse with inadequate help.
