We are still in West race even if we lose at Green Bay

So we still would be in the hunt even if we happened to also lose our next 2 games.

But I do hope and think we can win both with McCaffrey

lol. Ok
We are cucked in the arse
mathematically not out of it!
49ers should beat the Bears in a few weeks. But not likely the Packers and Bills. Cardinals might split with Seattle. They could lose to the Vikings. Rams will likely lose to Philly and Buffalo. And beat New Orleans. With that scenario if the Jets beat the Seahawks there will be a four way tie. At that point its anybody's division to win. Cardinals have the easiest schedule. But will Kyler Murray last the whole season? He's had trouble with injuries pretty much every year.
The fact that Brock Purdy is hurt, does it really matter? His injury is a direct reflection on the inability of Kyle and John to address the offensive line issues. They didn't address it. They passed on the OL in draft after draft after draft. The line play this season reflects this inattention. It doesn't really matter who starts at QB or RB. The line cannot protect the passer. They can no longer open holes for the running game. So, why not sit Purdy?
The problem is they play in Buffalo the following week which is the lost. So they would have to win their last 5 games to just finish the season 10-7. Would that be good enough to make the playoffs knowing they will lose every tie breaker? Oh and one of those remaining 5 games is against the Lions.

happened in 2021..
Dude we were out after losing to the Seahawks , start the rebuild
49ers would have to go 6-1 to close out the season.

That ain't gonna happen, this season is over.

I really believe we are cooked and need to rebuild. The window is closed and it takes some people longer to accept that. We will rebuild and be contenders again in a few years.
Of the 3 other teams in our division, I hope Arizona wins .....I am neutral on them....I dislike the Rams, and I DETEST the Seahawks, so if we need to have a few down years to reload young talent, then I hope the Cards hold our 1st place spot until we can come back and reclaim it from them.

Even if we make the postseason, does anyone expect us to actually do anything significant?

No but it would give the fire Kyle fans more ammunition.
If you need other teams to lose, because you can't beat any "good" teams to make the playoffs you won't be in the playoffs for more than one game.
