We are still in West race even if we lose at Green Bay

Well at least it makes it interesting to watch the Cards Seahawks game on the side. Bills should beat the Rams, but you never know.

NFC West or nothing it is going to be.

They had to squander those early losses. We could have only had to beat the eagles in Philly or Detroit again to make it back to the SB.

Nfc is so weak this year... What a squandered opportunity.

How the f**k does LAR beat BUF, I don't get it, but what I don't understand even more is why QB sneak or tush push it on 1st down, then take timeout, should have been a pass play or designed run for Allen, he's big enough to plow through the defenders, nope, dumbasses.

As for NFC West, we're still in it, probably need to win out & have some help, Wild Card is unlikely, also last week pissed me off with that field, players slipping, yet they said the field was good to go, sounds like BS to me.
Let's be realists here…the odds of the Niners beating the Rams on Thursday is slim to none.

No, imo we always have the advantage. Unless we go on a 6+ game win streak against them... beat them twice in the regular season, but then face them in the playoffs. THAT is when I feel we don't have the advantage. Beating them three times in a season.

Rams Dolphins and Lions are going to put up 30 plus with ease versus this defense unless Bosa and Greenlaw come back.
Niners will get key guys back…Bosa, Greenlaw, hopefully Williams, etc., and soon on Bosa & Greenlaw it sounds like. Having Hufanga back today really helped on the back end.

Get the above guys back - get healthier - along with the Niners playing better like today and I like this team's chances vs. any of the four remaining teams on the schedule, including Detroit (especially considering it's at home).

It's not just the Niners - all teams have injuries & are beat up at this time of the season. Look at Detroit's D and their injuries.

First things first, though…Niners need to take care of business this Thursday vs. the Rams. Looking forward to that game.

I think we will win. But I still don't think the 49ers make the playoffs as we will probably lose 1 of the following 2 (@ MIA, DET) and 9 wins won't get the 49ers in. They need to run the table.

The collapses @ LAR, AZ, SEA are obviously the difference. Had they beat Seattle (or if the refs actually called a penalty when Seattle used 2 TOs in a row) we would probably be 90% in. Of course we don't know if Seattle would have beat AZ twice.

Again, just not our year.

Divisional games are different. The coaches and players are familiar with each other so the matchup differences don't change things much. It will come down to execution.
There are 4 games left.

Looking at the next 3 weeks this is what would need to happen for us to be in first place by ourselves after the next 3 games.

1. We need to beat Rams, Miami and Lions.
2. Seattle needs to lose at home to Green Bay, at home to Vikings, and at Bears on Thursday night football.
3. Rams need to lose at Jets or at home against AZ.

I don't care what my brain says, my heart still says the Niners aren't losing again this season, including in the SB.

Can CMC come back or is he officially done for the season? In my fantasy he is back for the triumphant Superbowl return

We lost to them when they were half a team. Now they're back to full strength and Stafford looks like a HOF QB again. All the folks excited about the Chicago victory thinking we're about to go on some type of run might get a reality check this Thursday.

Im hoping I'm wrong cause at least having a 'chance' to make the playoffs keeps the rest of this season interesting to watch…
welcome to reality check coming soon!
The Niners would need too many things to fall their way to make the playoffs. It's like trying to win one of those 10 spot parlay football cards. The rest of the season is going to be players trying to prove they should be here next year.
