I feel like it's either Jaguars or nothing for Saleh as far as HC goes.
And Jaguars beat reporters are saying that Ben Johnson and Liam Cohen are the two favorites for that job. With Detroit knocked out, we might see some quick resolution for some of these jobs.
If I'm the Jaguars, I would certainly not hire a Defensive HC.
Helping Trevor Lawrence should be their priority.
Dan Quinn is a defensive minded coach with Daniels. You got DR and Stroud. Tomlin a defensive coach got more out of Russell Wislon than the great offensive mind of Sean Peyton. Not to mention how did the last two offensive minded coaches work out for Jacksonville? I could easily see why they go with defensive minded coach
Sure but then what will happen to Daniels when someone will hire Kliff Kingsbury as HC? Same with Stroud and Bobby Slowik.
Having your offensive mastermind be the HC of your team is such a plus for young QBs.
QBs and specially young QBs need continuity. I'm sure working with Andy Reid all these years helped a lot Mahomes.
Same for Joe with Bill Walsh.
Let's see what happens with Jared Goff in Detroit next season without Ben Johnson.
That's why the Niners are lucky to have Kyle.
We're not in the same situation the Niners were in 1995 when Mike left to be the HC of the Broncos.
The Niners would certainly have won another Superbowl in the Nineties if Mike stayed as HC or at least OC.
And to get back to Trevor Lawrence, he was supposed to be the next big thing.
Right now, the Jaguars should think about helping the guy they pay a ton of money.
Having his new HC be someone like Ben Johnson or Liam Coen would change a lot of things for him.
