Kyle still waiting on Saleh?
I think he's got two more interviews setup for this week.
I don't think so?

Look at all the interviews the Bears have had for a HC. Wow.

MM thoughts are if Saleh doesn't get a HC job he will be the DC here. He also said he can assure us they have a "plan B" but don't what to go down that road (with formal interviews) until they know for certain about Bob getting a HC job or not.
at this point, second interviews will be coming about and I'm sure some other guys that lost this weekend will be added to the mix with interviews

In the meantime while the 49ers are waiting for their messiah Robert Saleh, more and more teams will be added to the mix looking for DCs. Add Detroit to the list, since Aaron Glenn may get a HC job. At least interview Dennis Allen or whomever for a first interview, that way if Saleh is gone, you bring back the guys you like for a second and then hire them quicker.

No matter who theysign as DC they need to draft well or sign some good free agents. The DC can only d so much. I wish they woild make some adjustments to the defense. Not a big fan of the wide 9 because it makes it easier for teams to rn against them. If they stay with that D then maybe they can tweak it so they don't have those gaping holes. It's killing them in the 4th quarter.

All of this. Gotta have the talent to have a great defense.

I mean who we got out there INDY and Cinci? Those are the two teams ( I can think of) that are currently looking for a DC. Everyone else has to hire a HC before they can then put together there roster.
reportedly the lions will more than likely be hiring within
Candidates expected to receive consideration to replace Lions OC Ben Johnson and DC Aaron Glenn include:
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) January 20, 2025
🏈Lions assistant head coach/running backs coach Scottie Montgomery
🏈Lions passing game coordinator Tanner Engstrand.
🏈Lions linebackers coach Kelvin Sheppard…
also they can absolutely talk to whomever, without it having to be a "formal" interview. Not everything is reported
