Something that should be mentioned, interviews to satisfy the Rooney Rule provision must be done in person. Virtual interviews are not enough. Thus far, the Jaguars have conducted nine virtual interviews and one in person interview(Saleh, the only one not under contract with some other team.)

Regarding head coaching jobs, teams must conduct an in-person interview with at least two external candidates who are people of color and/or women. Virtual interviews don't satisfy Rooney Rule requirements, per the NFL.

It was reported that Johnson and Coen were the favorites. They couldn't hire Coen until they interview at least one more minority candidate in person so as to be in compliance.

Saleh would be very fortunate to have another chance at HC this fast after NY.

Because they put all their eggs in one basket with Saleh.

Saleh must have given them a hint or something for them to only bring in two other candidates.
I don't imagine that included turning down a HC position to be a DC.

Allen may go to Chicago as dc. Saleh second interview? We are so stupid. Why not interview multiple people.
Interviewing other people is irrelevant as long as they were willing to wait out Saleh.

No it's not. You can narrow a list down with first interviews and then when Saleh books, bring back your final candidates for a second round. They are not doing anything.

HC he'd jump at, DC only as his fall back.

Hate to say it, but he might be the front runner, especially with his ethnic background. Owner might really like that. Sure hope we get him and that I'm wrong.

Liam Cohen is the supposed front-runner and interviewing on Wednesday

Yeah, Jags owner is Muslim like Saleh. Saleh grew up here so he might not be Muslim, but you get what I'm saying. They're both of Middle Eastern decent.

Of course, Saleh is last. That's even worse.
I wouldn't be shocked if they've spoken to Matt Eberflus as well. They don't need to report that because he's not on a team right now

Yes. They won't let him leave. They will have a deal on Wednesday and the Niners will announce Saleh on Friday.

Shanahan cannot be that stupid to have just two choices for DC of which they are waiting forever for one of them
