What? That would be a blessing in disguise! Would make Bowles available during this horrible offseason f**k up so far by Kyle.

But the question would then be, would Bowles be willing to come here to work under Kyle (especially when we have to give him all that money we were thinking of giving to Salah, becomes Bowles deserves that kind of money.). Or would he prefer to sit out the season.

How is this off season a f**k up? I swear some of you just say the most idiotic s**t. Saleh is offered the job, that's no secret, it doesn't matter what team wants him, everyone is just gonna have to wait. The only reasons why you're saying s**t like that because nothing has been announced. Like I've been saying how do you know they're not talking to more candidates? You don't think they're prepared if Saleh is hired as a HC!!!

Relax go see a movie!!!!

Fair enough. The only thing we know at this point is Sorensen wasn't the right guy for the job. I think Saleh is going to get an offer somewhere else because usually guys who are getting lots of interviews are doing so because everyone knows they are good. We found Saleh, we found Ryans, so I don't have much of an issue with the 49ers bringing in some other position coach with potential. Ben Johnson got his shot, right? I'm more worried about the overall talent level on the defensive line.

Jaguars beat writers have confirmed that Saleh was the only in-person interview.

Bears announced Eddie George, Patriots announced Byron Leftwich, teams tend to be more by the book when it comes to the rules nowadays.

It wouldn't be a good look to setup a second interview with Graham, rush in some random minority assistant that they hadn't interviewed before and then cancel the interview with Graham just to hire a guy who looks straight out of Hee-Haw.

Someone give me some positive Brandon Staley stats, I need to start coping ahead of time.

Again, was he a former coordinator? He must have been if you're asking for his stats.

In 2020 he had the #1 overall defense, #1 in points and yards.

That should help him. Didn't know that.

Much of what you said can be applied to many comments about the Niners. Lot's of conjecture about what Kyle and Lynch are doing or should do but none of us knows what is going on behind the scenes. I interviewed the Niners VP of operations many years ago and I was amazed at all the stuff they do each day that is never reported. League rules need to be followed. Agents need to be contacted. Often times other teams are involved when tryng to sign someone. Sometimes discussions among other staff come into play. If only it was as easy as some fans think it is.

Just so you know I'm not a former member of the press. The interview was for a marketing class I was taking in college. We were assigned the task of interviewing the highest ranking marketing person we could in any company and then doing an oral and written presentation. I chose the Niners. I got an A and always wondered if it was because the report was good or the instructor was a Niners fan.

What if Staley isn't plan B and someone else is?
Like who? Townsend? lol

You've been a member here for nearly 16 years so this isn't your first rodeo.... you should know by now that not everything in the NFL gets reported or leaked. We have no idea who this team has or hasn't spoken to beyond the names reported.
