Saints on the other hand couldn't be worse they are probably 50-60M over the cap for next year and what little talent they do have are all old

Except Jerry is trying to dictate the coaching staff

And their best Defender seems to be upset and may demand a trade

I just hope that Saleh stays a couple years if he comes back. I doubt he will unless there aren't any good penings next year. If he stays a couple years and gets the defense back on top he'll polish his resume a little and maybe get a better offer.

There's gonna be some competition next HC cycle. Kliff Kingdbury and Jesse Minter if they have another good year will be hot commodities

Even better

Doesn't sound like 49ers are even Saleh's first choice for DC.

I don't know where you are hearing these "sounds" but Maiocco's report yesterday literally says the exact opposite of this and I trust Maiocco over whatever your "sounds" are.
Just my own two-cents interpretation:

I think we're ironing the final details with Saleh out right now and he's squeezing every last drop he can with the little leverage he has left (other DC positions, Cowboys HC position, etc.) He wants this to be a very lucrative DC deal—high pay that is even higher than his Jets contract, draft control, can he leave in one year if he wants, etc. Deal will probably get announced tonight or tomorrow.

Again, just a random user's two cents. Everyone here was panicking like crazy when Baalke got fired saying that was a sign Saleh was going there, and I was pretty much the only one who said "no… it means they're desperately trying to reel Coen back in" and guess who happened to be right?

Pete Carroll may make some stupid money offer for Robert to be the defensive coordinator there.

So really what they are saying is that Jed might be unwilling to outspend this guy to get the best staff possible?

i posted a while back when Saleh got fired and everyone here got excited.. Why would Saleh comeback?

Saleh said he will take a step back and not jump into work when his name kept being placed with the 49ers. Then he goes works with the packers. Now he's giving us the runaround if we did offer him anything. too many red flags are being raised for me

He's either on a train ride from NJ to here or maybe he just doesn't want to be here

He's exhausting every opportunity to become a HC. Has nothing to do with him wanting to be here. It's about him wanting to be a HC more than a DC

Bingo. This has to be it, otherwise there would have been multiple reports of Saleh back to the Niners already.

I'm not quite sure why he struck out this year. I wonder if he does not have a good pipeline of potential coaching candidates or something. He can lead a room and the guys playing so something other is off happening behind the scenes.

thats a coping mechanism

Sure whatever you say chief

Don't worry Hysterikal, it's the only explanation. I got your back on this one.

The guy who's been against Saleh returning clinging to a report saying there is a small small chance he goes to a different team is saying others are coping. The ironing
never said i'm against it lol

Just pointing it out. He rather take the worst HC job than be here.. when he could be DC here one year and be the one to turn HC jobs down the next year

Lmao it's really no wonder why the nfl has regressed so badly

yes. look at the guys doing well. i'm surprised Flores didn't get a job. i would give him coordinator of the year honors. vikings don't have elite talents on D some good guys, but they did a lot with scheme.

We all know why Flores isn't gonna get a job. It was b******t he got fired from Miami and he deserves another HC job.
