Cowboys HC position has to be one of the most coveted Jerry usually pays well never fires after 1 yr and really goes out of his way to make you feel like you're family it would seem. Saints on the other hand couldn't be worse they are probably 50-60M over the cap for next year and what little talent they do have are all old

Except Jerry is trying to dictate the coaching staff

That description sounds like Jerry hired a PR and marketing team to write the job description and expectations

i am disappointed the NFL didn't land Prime Time. it would have made for great television.

Texans could be interested. They have a serious need at WR and Slowik would know how to use him.

Slowik was fired this morning

I doubt anyone is trading for Aiyuk with that contract + injury

I just hope that Saleh stays a couple years if he comes back. I doubt he will unless there aren't any good penings next year. If he stays a couple years and gets the defense back on top he'll polish his resume a little and maybe get a better offer.

There's gonna be some competition next HC cycle. Kliff Kingdbury and Jesse Minter if they have another good year will be hot commodities

Lmao it's really no wonder why the nfl has regressed so badly

It has? In what way?

I mean….have you not watched the nfl this year alone? You got your top heavy teams like KC,Buffalo, Baltimore, and even Philly sure. But after that it's just a bunch of mediocre to awful teams.

I mean WTF is going on? What he heck is Saleh waiting on are they behind closed doors hammering out a deal? This is taking way too long for Saleh. First it was if he doesn't take the Jags job now its if he doesn't get offered the Raiders (which has been filled) or the cowboys job. WOW

they're waiting on Dallas

That's been pretty typical in the NFL. The NFL as a whole is more popular than ever. The talent in the NFL is better than ever. The tackling is worst but that's a result of CBA requiring less contact in practice. That's not on coaching. Scoring is up cause rule changes against Defense. Again not on coaching. So I just disagree the NFL is worst because of coaching.

Some retreads work out. People grow and learn. Reid, Carroll, Belichek, Quinn, to name a few.

Is this really news. I mean common sense tells us this is true

This sounds like a bunch of nothing. Saleh unfortunately fulfills the Rooney rule for Dallas. No second interview for him there. I wouldn't be shocked if we pay him more to be the DC, then they would at HC. Mike McCarthy was one of the lowest paid HCs in the NFL.

reports are SF is already gonna make him one of the highest paid DCs in football and he will have control of that side of the ball. Mark Davis isn't paying more than Jed and Bob will have to play second fiddle to old man Carroll.

Doubt they toss out the Staley is out stuff, without some confidence in knowing Saleh is coming back.
What's the delay here?
can't be at ease until it's official.
feels like the longer this goes without an announcement the better chance something else is going on

Jerry was actually paying McCarthy one of the cheapest HC deals in football. He was making like $4M per yr reportedly.
