I just don't get the sense that Saleh is coming back to SF, there's just so many opportunities to stay on the east coast as a DC.

My picks are simple:

Allen and Ulbrich, if they can't get Allen then get Ulbrich.

I agree not only that I don't think he wants to go back down to a defensive coordinator. I even think he would take a coaching position in college before taking a step down.

I loved Saleh when he was here, but I'm sick of the coaching carousel at DC. If Saleh came back, did great with the defense next year, then he'd probably be gone the following year.

We need some continuity.

This! Allen would be my choice, he's had his chance at HC and the odds of him leaving would be slim. Similar to what Spags is with KC

2 super bowl wins as a player. Other than that I know nothing. Detroit secondary was destroyed by injuries this year

He worked under Ray Horton in Arizona I'm pretty sure. Also worked with Dick LeBeau in Tennessee and Spagnuolo in New York.
