Many of his girlfriends friends are still in school and go there. Easier for her to visit. Maybe he will show up at a frat party with his girl.

Schneider had to go but it's not like he wasn't a well respected ST guy. Dudes been coaching special teams since 1997 and was Seattle'a ST guy for a decade.

Sorensen seems like a smart football guy, he clearly wasn't ready to be a DC. I hope they bring in a guy that's been a successful DC at one point.

they got earlier picks, some decent cash and more time to get healthy. Toss in the easiest schedule in football next yr.

im not a fan of how we conduct special teams. Need more emphasis on it cause it's been an Achilles heal of ours for a long time.

Which coordinator doesn't have a staff.. how do coaches get their proteges to groom? plus i didn't say full staff

a DC needs someone who can help coach his philosophy at the position level

Plus i think our guys need a new fresh look at things so they can lock in again.. and not go through the motions with the old staff

Sorensen strikes me as one of those guys who's smart and hard working but lacks management qualities. They're good at what they do but leading others isn't where they are at their best.

Saleh is interesting. Would he really want to go from one crap organization with a crap GM to another? Would you stake your future on Baalke? Your future was tied to a crap QB NY and in Jacksonville you'll have an overrated, overpaid QB who's success will
determine your future. Baalke and Lawrence? No thanks.

The SF job is actually interesting because if things go south next year Kyle might be done. If that happens people are going to want "a culture guy". That's Saleh. Also, you know the organization and it's not Jax

I'm sure Saleh is number one on their list but it's smart to interview other guys in the mean time just in case it doesn't pan out.

Also it's good to interview other people because maybe Townsend is an awesome interview so even if you hire Saleh maybe down the road you need another DC or secondary coach you can add him to your staff then.
