Meh more of the same they need to atleast attempt to add a proven guy.

Saleh coming back, I wouldn't even try to give that a chance. our options are very limited if we let Sorensen go.

the only DC I would take right now would be Brian Flores, but that's not happening
I love Ulbrich from his playing days with 9ers and wouldn't be mad if he's our next DC. But I worry that with his stint as interim coach, he'd be a prime HC candidate if he does well as DC. Then we'd be right back in this position.

Best thing long term would be a good DC who already got a shot as a HC and failed there. Then there's a better chance of them sticking around long term.

Saleh would be great but not sure he'd come back.

I'm curious about Eberflus. Anyone know what style of D he runs?

Staley is already on the staff so not sure what that says about him…

His style and philosophy is very similar to the old Tampa-2. Spend most of the time in nickel, most important positions are 3-tech, weakside backer, and nickel back. Interior DTs have to be strong against the run since they typically only have 2 LBs on the field.

He got fired this morning

Richard Hightower is their Special Team Coordinator so he is a possibility to return to SF.

I would be fine if they fired Sorenson and promote Staley to DC, see what he can do for the rest of season.

No no no. Can we please stop this now. Look at his defense with San Diego (screw the move and whatever they pretend to be). Now that a real coach is in the defense is humming. Staley is garbage

Oh…. And he is already a defensive consultant and probably having a say in some of game plan. The evidence just stacks up against him.
