I wouldn't mind Saleh back as DC. I'd also be hopeful we'd bring Ulbrich as some sort of senior asst role.

But I'm also hoping Kyle casts a wider net over the next couple of weeks. Dennis Allen is also a 4-3 base scheme, but has higher blitz tendencies and showcases more exotic looks (3-4, zero blitz, etc).

A few others for consideration should be a) Jim Leonard - DBs and Pass Game Coordinator for Denver and b) Tosh Lupoi - DC for Oregon. Both have a nice blend of NCAA and NFL experience, and both have multiple years as a defensive coordinator. Both have run 3-4 hybrid schemes with diverse looks in coverage and blitz packages.

Hopefully they can bring in Ulbrich as run game specialist or whatever!!! That would be a damn good move just in case Saleh gets poached again!!!
If Saleh comes back, he needs a planned successor for when he gets another HC opportunity.

We had that last time with Demeco Ryans

Good points. Even if Saleh is coming back he's not gonna have prime Buckner,AA,Ford and Bosa. He'll definitely need to scheme and blitz more than he did due to the talent level.

Jeff Ulbrich

This why I want Allen. He is a 4-3 guy but he knows how to blitz instead of just wait to generate pressure with the front-4.
I will love to have Saleh back as DC, he's not my top choice because I think they need to tweak the defensive scheme but maybe he will do that. I want the next DC to blitz a lot because Lenoir. Warner, and Mustapha are made for blitzing. My guy is still Allen

Saleh is definitely the favorite but pending. I would assume he wants to keep his HC job but with the Jags? Raiders? Meh? We gotta make him that sweet offer . I don't see Kyle doing anything surprising here, I think it's gunna be Saleh or Ulbrich. I like the idea of Shorts but see Kyle signing Ulbrich instead.

We need a change, we need a scheme where we don't have to have All Pros at every position. Because when we don't, this Defense looks awful

Do they get another comp pick for him?

interesting question. I wonder if they still get the two 3rds, for this process happening twice with the same person (and same team). that scenario has never happened before with this rule.

Remember kwuan Williams in the slot? He was the best nickel blitzing CB in the league. Lenoir has that type of ability

With Saleh, he's here maybe a year. With Ulbrich he's here at least three.
