But I'm also hoping Kyle casts a wider net over the next couple of weeks. Dennis Allen is also a 4-3 base scheme, but has higher blitz tendencies and showcases more exotic looks (3-4, zero blitz, etc).

A few others for consideration should be a) Jim Leonard - DBs and Pass Game Coordinator for Denver and b) Tosh Lupoi - DC for Oregon. Both have a nice blend of NCAA and NFL experience, and both have multiple years as a defensive coordinator. Both have run 3-4 hybrid schemes with diverse looks in coverage and blitz packages.

Good points. Even if Saleh is coming back he's not gonna have prime Buckner,AA,Ford and Bosa. He'll definitely need to scheme and blitz more than he did due to the talent level.

The last time he was here, he has no Buckner, Ford, or Bosa (the latter two due to injuries). I think he'll be fine. The man has had good defebses with and without elite talent all over the field.

Also, show me the top 5 defensive every year and they always have a solid d Line that stops the run. We are missing that at dt. My assumption (I know. Dangerous word) is they will address that this offseason.

If they don't address DT in this DT heavy draft class I'll join the fire Shanahan and Lynch brigade. I'll bring t-shirts, hors d'oeuvres and whatever beer I can steal out of Cisco's fridge.

With Saleh, he's here maybe a year. With Ulbrich he's here at least three.

I am cool with Saleh being here a shorter while, after he helps us get the Six . Saleh for Six .

All depends on what they do in FA. Bring DJ back and keep Hargrave somehow and it becomes far less of a need.

This why I want Allen. He is a 4-3 guy but he knows how to blitz instead of just wait to generate pressure with the front-4.

Agree. I think Allen would be able to use all of our players on defense to there strengths for sure.

Can't have a proper angry mob without torches, pitchforks, hors d'oeuvres and baby oil.

If Saleh came back, and we're back in the NFCCG again, he'd be hired as a HC within two years.

If he wants to be a head coach again. He needs to go somewhere, where he's going to have immediate success. He needs to get that stench of his time at the Jets out of people's memories.
