i agree with this. If Saleh isn't a HC this year, he will be next year. Then we are back to square one. I'm leaning towards Allen as our #1 choice. He can be our Spags.

I agree. I feel like he would change some things too and would give us some exciting new stuff. Him and Saleh have both shown they can adapt but Allen will never get another shot at HC IMO.

The #Cowboys have interest in and are expected to interview former #Jets coach Robert Saleh for the vacant head coach position, source said. Would be their first known request.

Does anyone know if we were to hire Saleh and then he bounces to be a HC; would we get the comp picks again?

Then they hire Pete Golding from Ole Miss to be the DC. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten more NFL looks, he runs one of the better defensive schemes in college football, always putting his players in a position to be successful. I love the way he moves around and utilizes his DL with a constant attacking mindset. On the back end he's really refined Saban's pattern matching concepts.

Plan A should be Saleh

Plan B should be Ulbrich

Plan C should be Allen

Plan Z should be no DC

Plan ZZZ should be Staley

If we end up with Staley after all this, I will officially be moved into the "disapproval" category for Shanahan. And I've been a massive defender of him.

It's a good point. I like Saleh(not as a HC) but he will probably be gone in a season or two.

He has to stay two years to get a comp pick.
He will get HC job this year or next. Then we might be looking for a DC.again in a future Feb with limited options
