Does anyone know if we were to hire Saleh and then he bounces to be a HC; would we get the comp picks again?

He has to stay two years to get a comp pick.
He will get HC job this year or next. Then we might be looking for a DC.again in a future Feb with limited options

Oh yeah that's right; I do remember reading that somewhere now. Thank you 🤙🏾
I'm more in favor of bringing in Dennis Allen as DC.

I've been saying this all long. Why haven't the 49ers interviewed him yet? The teams that are ready to hire a DC right now are 49ers, Falcons, Bengals, Colts, and Patriots. Soon there will be more teams as they hire head coaches, and competition for quality DC gets stiffer.

Cause they don't want to?

Because Kyle wants yes men. He's putting all his eggs in the Saleh basket, and he probably wants to move Sorenson to ST. If Saleh gets a HC position, I can see him promoting Staley to DC and moving Sorenson to ST. And the masses here will celebrate the moves, citing 'continuity'

There is no way he goes to Dallas. I bet Kyle, Mike and Matt send him messages you do not want to go to that s**t show with Jerry. Stay away.

Jerry Jones will be dead in less than a decade. It doesn't seem like his heir apparent is as hands on as he was. Dallas, as much as we hate to admit, is one of the premiere franchises in the NFL. Saleh would take that position in a heartbeat if it was offered to him. I'd say more so than taking the Jags gig…

Its not. The last time they played in an NFC title game was 1995. The only difference between them and the Raiders is Jerry is one of the most powerful owners and does anything to market the team. But that is also the problem that he wants to be the most powerful person on the team over any coach he brings in.

Of course they are. They're irrelevant in terms of SB victories (but then again so are we), but they have one of the largest fan bases in the league, draw high revenue for games, and are pretty much a staple for prime time irrespective of their record.
Starting to get a little worried that we might not land Saleh

If Saleh is uncertain then I'd be happy with Allen. Creative in how he deploys his fronts, not too passive or too blitz happy, he could be a long term fixture as a DC.

My favorite package would be Allen+Rizzi coming over and holding down DC and special teams for years. Good way for Kyle to simplify his life and not have to go through this almost yearly.

Good point about Allen. He has failed twice as HC but his DC work keeps getting him job offers. Maybe he is now ready to be a lifer like Fangio. We need stability. I haven't followed NO enough to have an opinion on Rizzi but he must have some chops to pick up the interim HC gig.
I still want Saleh, who cares if he is here for a year, get us the Six and then do whatever the hell you want lol.

Miami's special teams mostly fell off a cliff after he left while New Orleans's special teams remained excellent and near the top of the league in nearly every year with him as coordinator.

Why do people think Salah is a hot commodity that will be swooped up as a HC this year, next year, or the year after? I don't get it. Would it be a sympathy hire because of the Aaron Rodgers drama? He wasn't that great of a HC let's be honest. I get that he could be a D Coordinator again and do well...then maybe get another opportunity. But I don't think he'll be one in the next 3 years
