It's embarrassing if Sorenson is really the front runner.

Why, you don't know if he's not a good ST coordinator. Just cause he didn't work out as DC doesn't mean he wouldn't be good at this position. That was his specialty as a player, special teams.

Last time he was a STC

I stand corrected, I guess he sucked at that too lol

Then my first post stands, so not sure what you're trying to argue here.

Like you mentioned? You posted no one truly thinks that hes getting a HC gig. I responded he does since hes doing all these interviews.

He's taking those interviews because he was requested to. You're not saying no and burning bridges. If he doesn't get a HCing gig (which is highly likely) he more than likely our DC. I don't understand what's the problem with that?

Ben Johnson took the HC interview for NE and reportedly knew he wasn't gonna get the job. There's nothing wrong with taking the interview, even if you know it's a long shot.

I mean we interviewed Noah Pauley for OC. You think he thought he was getting the job?

Those interview request can be politely declined and the bridges won't be burned.

You posted no one truly think he's getting a HC gig, but clearly he does, so you're wrong there. We don't need to go in circles.

you don't want to decline tho you may get a free sandwich here, simply by attending

Knuckle sandwiches

It's clear that he doesn't want to be here unless its his only option as a non HC. That's even with the report of Matt saying that they'll pay him a huge amount.

Hes thinks hes getting a HC gig because hes taking all these interviews, if he didn't he wouldn't be taking these interviews.

There is a lot more to these 'interviews' than just a job opening. An owner interviewing a GM candidate wants to get as much info as he can from previous experiences that the potential GM can provide. The potential GM is expanding his knowledge on other franchises and how they do business. Same will apply to HC, OC, DC.....whatever. These people can be seriously looking for somebody or simply picking the brain....and it works both ways.

You didn't answer my question. You think Noah Pauley thought he was getting the OC gig here?

He has already been a STC once and he sucked then. He inspires no confidence.

Oh agreed, but the post response was for No one really thinks he's getting a HC gig, but clearly he does. For some reason we want to go in circles though.

Bingo he could be looked at as a DC candidate for the guy who actually gets the HC gig…and yes the Rooney Rule.

It's due diligence and also more experience for Saleh. Dude has ONE more shot to be a HC. He absolutely has no reason to say no I don't want to take the interview. He would be dumb not too.

The question that had nothing to do with your original response?

He has one more shot at HC if he takes that role now and gets fired. His best option currently is to take a DC job and build his rep.

But yes.....Saleh will jump at the chance because he gains more experience by just visiting the facility/meeting the brass.
Like I said earlier; be prepared for Staley to be DC and Sorensen STC
