Never understood the fascination with Ulbrich. He's going to a situation in Atlanta where he'll have another defensive coach looking over his shoulder so that might be the best possible place for him. Falcons fans don't seem very happy.

For me it's been pretty much Allen, Saleh or bust so no biggie. Not sure how many would have been excited to hear that Ulbrich was the new DC. Seems like two steps up from Sorensen, a step up from Staley and considerably below Allen or Saleh.

Ulbrich was interim coach Raheem Morris' DC in 2020 in ATL. he probably liked working for him, and it's probably as simple as that.
