Never understood the fascination with Ulbrich. He's going to a situation in Atlanta where he'll have another defensive coach looking over his shoulder so that might be the best possible place for him. Falcons fans don't seem very happy.

For me it's been pretty much Allen, Saleh or bust so no biggie. Not sure how many would have been excited to hear that Ulbrich was the new DC. Seems like two steps up from Sorensen, a step up from Staley and considerably below Allen or Saleh.

I also prefer Allen. My point was the lackluster of interviews. They are pushing all their chips in on Saleh, when Saleh's heart is to be a HC. At least do the due diligence of interviewing potential candidates. And where are the other ST's interviews? Better candidates out there than Sorenson.

They counting on saleh or bust , I don't think they have a plan b if saleh says no

Ulbrich was catching a ton of hate around here but I think he'll do good with the Falcons

Ulbrich didn't want to waste time interviewing for a job that everyone knows is going to Saleh.

Agreed. I would be intreviewing everybody. It's no insult to Saleh. It's a compliment because they know he could easily become a head coach again. Which tells me Kyle wants Saleh and if not. Then he'll go with Staley. Mickey Mouse operation.

Not sad about us missing out on Ulbrich.

I think Shanahan is not a good interviewer and/or does not like the interview process, and does not know to how to establish a good rapport. Hence why he only interviewed someone in already in house, Staley and someone already he knew Saleh, and why next ST coach is probably Sorensen. The detroit guy was to satisfy the Rooney rule. Shanahan is afraid of making another major hiring mistake and wants play it safe with people he knows and especially gets along with. So yes. It's most likely Saleh (or Staley if Saleh doesn't come here) as DC and Sorensen as ST.
