Where do the 49ers Go from Here

Hard to say about investing in Purdy (amount) I think both lines have regressed badly. I still believe with an improved o-line this team could easily have 8 wins.
So I guess logically they need to upgrade both lines as a start.

They need to focus on the trenches badly. This team used to dominate up front and that's been going away the last few years. They need to return to that.

What we're seeing isn't anything new. It happens to all good teams when players age and many are getting paid too much. A lot of things have to fall in place for a team to keep winning more than 5 or 6 years without a dropoff. Injuries happen every year but this year has been especially crippling. Every key player has missed at least one game except Warner who's playng hurt.

Now they're faced with what to do in the off season. Do they clean house or just tweak the lineup a little? Is Aiyuk going to be able to come back healthy next year? How much do they pay Purdy? What coaching changes will be made? Do they try and trade some older players for draft picks?

Lot's of questions.

I have been preaching this since week 3 and o-line since 2020. We were the bullys, now we are getting owned. The bills destroyed our dt's on a few plays. I see Brendel get obliterated multiple times every game which is why its hard to evaluate Purdy. I think with a better o line he will be fine.

If we look back on the last 7 years - they focused so much on the d line with very little return and largely ignored the o line with very little return. IMO it caught up to them.

This is the year they needed to go ALL IN and do what it took to get stars here in the spots they needed and damn the cap. It was now or never. We still have the core of vet players that can lead, but they need a new coach to restock for one FINAL PUSH before blowing this up and start from scratch. We CANNOT let this opportunity go to waste.I could deal with another rebuilding if we had blown up the cap to FINALLY get # 6 but Kyle being the arrogant s**t that he is didn't see this team for what it was: an aging team on it's final push. F-Kyle!

Right.

A no brainer. Shut down all the injured players and try to get best draft position possible.

Even if we win division, it would be 1 and done in playoffs. We start planning for 2025 TODAY.
