Wrong.

If Seattle loses next week at AZ and home against Green Bay, we have tiebreaker over Seattle with better conference record since division will be same.

If we beat AZ last game and Rams beat AZ before that at home in LA, we own tiebreaker against AZ with better conference record since division will be the same.

So if we win out:

Seattle loses next week at AZ and following week at home against Green Bay

and

AZ loses at Rams and at home to us

and

Rams lose next week at home against Buffalo and against us at home in SF

We win the West!

This team is still extremely talented and with young up and coming players. This season was ruined by injuries. Ask yourself if you knew in August that Aiyuk, Bosa, CMC, Hargrave, Warner (played with fractured ankle), Pearsall (shot), Ward (daughter passed), Williams (injury and son passed), Hufanga, and now Lenior, plus Purdy is definitely more injured than we know... how would you think this season would turn out?

If they have a solid off season, they will be right back in Super Bowl contention. This is what I would do if I was Shanalynch.

Fire ST and DC
Hire- Ulbrich or Saleh. No more promoting from within. Hire an established guy at both

Trade or Cut
Deebo- he's not a true WR and can make plays with ball in hands but the problem is he can't get open.
Hargrave- Post June 1- Didn't really add much
Let Ward walk

Purdy- has to either play out his contract or sign a Mayfield type deal. He hasn't shown enough to get franchise QB money yet. Don't want to be in Daniel Jones or Derek Carr situation

Draft or FA priority
C
RT
DE
DT
FS
LG
TE2
CB3

SB to last in the division in one season?

Rams collapse was worse even though they didn't finish last.

Wouldn't be the zone if they didn't, but I agree it's a down year, not the end of the world.

DISNEYLAND? Oh wait, maybe not.

These last two seasons they've seemingly lost the ability to stop the run that defined their earlier success under Saleh and Ryans.

Arik Armstead proved his value to the team by leaving. DJ Jones was also sorely missed. We have not been able to stop the run since they left. We need to get back to that type of unselfish player that uses up blockers. Anderson has flashed a bit. Let's see how he develops in these next five games.

Anderson looks like a good player. Right now he's being forced into probably more snaps than he's best suited for, but he's a guy we want to keep around. Collins and Elliott are replacement level players.

They are better than "replacement." They are good rotational/situation players that are useful in those roles. The primary need is a DJ Jones space eater against the run. I would give Anderson as many reps as he can handle this season and draft another guy like him. With the resurgence of RBs this season, you can't have too many big-butt guys in the middle of the DL - shut down the middle and let fast LBs run behind them.

Hopefully in the future they stop wasting time/energy/team culture/money on the hold-outs. What have they done since being overpaid?

Rarely in life do you get second chances. They blew it under this regime.
