This.

2nd!

Rarely in life do you get second chances. They blew it under this regime.
well maybe Kyle has got something.. cause this wouldn't be a second chance

Wrong.

If Seattle loses next week at AZ and home against Green Bay, we have tiebreaker over Seattle with better conference record since division will be same.

If we beat AZ last game and Rams beat AZ before that at home in LA, we own tiebreaker against AZ with better conference record since division will be the same.

So if we win out:

Seattle loses next week at AZ and following week at home against Green Bay

and

AZ loses at Rams and at home to us

and

Rams lose next week at home against Buffalo and against us at home in SF

We win the West!

To get obliterated in R1. 👍🏻

I thought best won-loss-tied percentage in "common games" is above conference record in the tie-breakers for a two-team division tie. Might still end up with the same scenario.

Common Games with Seattle (Packers, Vikings, Lions, Bears, Bills, Jets, Dolphins, Patriots, Rams (2), Cardinals (2))

Common Games with Arizona (Packers, Vikings, Lions, Bears, Bills, Jets, Dolphins, Patriots, Rams (2), Seahawks (2))

Common Games with Los Angeles Rams (Packers, Vikings, Lions, Bears, Bills, Jets, Dolphins, Patriots, Cardinals (2), Seahawks (2))

Rams beat the Vikings but lost to the Bears and Dolphins.

Seahawks still play Vikings, Bears, and Packers.

Lions game could be really key for SF in this scenario if the other variables play out. I think A LOT would have to go right for SF, but you never know. Of those three division games, ok maybe a team slips up late in one of them, but to lose all three with leads in the 4th Q, that's what really killed their chances for the playoffs.

At this point sit Williams, Bosa, Warner, Lenior, and Greenlaw. Use the rest of the season to see what you have.
There's a chance now we're drafting in the top 15.

Lynch will probably draft a 'specialist'. Punter, or the recipient of college long snapper award, or the best place kick holder in the NCAA.
It's now one week at a time. But I'm pretty sure these 3 things need to happen this week to give us any chance:

49'ers beat Bears at home - 49'ers favored by 3.5
AZ beats Seattle at home - AZ favored by 3
Rams lose at home to Buffalo - Buffalo favored 4 points

As has been shared. Even IF the 49ers make it to the playoffs by winning the pathetic NFC West, they are out in the first round. This team needs to transition . . .

Important 3 game stretch coming up. If we lose them we're almost guaranteed a top 10 pick. If we win them, we will probably just miss the playoffs and pick 15-18
Fire Brian Schneider and hire literally anyone else.

Demote Sorensen to his old position and hire Saleh as DC.

And fire Brandon Staley just because.

Trim overpaid talent for cap space.

Draft OL first round.

Give Purdy some guaranteed money but maybe not a full extension until the following offseason.

Looking at Lynch's last 4 drafts, the good players were lucky. What high round pick is a star?
