We must have Boss back if we want a chance, Stafford will pick us apart with no passrush. Amazing how much of an improvement Huff made. Brown is the weakest link in secondary

Brown is terrible and I hate to say but Ward is right there behind him.

Ward is making it easier to not offer a contract, happily will go with Demo and Green next year and just drafting another cb or 2
We have a pulse... I want to get excited... but then again we played the bears

We need a TON of breaks to get in, and we have to beat Detroit. Go look at ESPN's playoff machine. I'd say we have .1% chance of getting in.
Where are the haters who placed bet against the49ers lol I hope you lost big

Yup we need to go undefeated and then some so unfortunately; I just don't see it happening, but I give kudos to those who can keep that optimism

They are not. You just want to continue to push that narrative. Did you just go all in on some Allen debate or something a few years ago? And now want to drag another player down to his level? Dude has been garbage. Dobbs at times has looked good. And is certainly trusted more than Allen.

Dobbs is on his 5th team and has a career passer rating of 77. The Cardinals gave him up in favor of a guy named Clayton Tune. The Vikings benched him last year in favor of Nick Mullens after he threw 4 INTs in a single game.

He's a terrible QB. Neither he nor Allen should be on the team next year.

Yeah, I really believe it's not a good idea to NOT have a quality backup

They need to address the position, either by drafting a QB or bringing in a seasoned veteran that you can trust to hold down the fort for a couple games.

Andy Dalton would be interesting if he decides to stick around another season.
Great game but unfortunately it's too little, too late. We need a ton of random things to happen for us to win the division at 10-7 and that includes beating Detroit.

Seattle beating AZ today was a tough blow to our chances. Same with the Rams winning.

Again you want to put your reputation on the line just to prove a backup QB you don't like is garbage?

Anyone watching these highlights vs f**king Allen can tell you are out of your mind to put them on the same level. You throw some small stats here an there... again watching him play, he is not "terrible". This league has terrible QBs.. even starters.

I trust him as a backup QB to reply on, if my starter goes down for multiple games, over almost every backup in the league.

But most of yall like your boring clip board holding *nerdy voice* "helps the starter be ready for gamedays! That's important!" bla bla b******t. I need a playmaker who has confidence to try to win games, as the backup. Especially if our defense isn't what it once was. Do you NOT think he has got better after being on our team for a year? From his experience (and mistakes) of being a starter last year?

Even when we win it turns out to be a bad week as both the Seahawks and Rams won. We needed the Cards to beat the Seahawks. And I never expected the Rams to beat the Bills.

Is there an official playoff path somewhere?

I thought we wanted AZ to lose today b/c the rest of their schedule is easier
AZ gets NE (W) CAR (W) LA and SF
We HAVE to beat AZ to stay alive so I'm assuming that is a loss for them
If AZ beats LA then AZ is 9-8....which is fine

SEA has GB (L) MIN (L) CHI (W) LA (L)
SEA ends at 9-8 unless Chicago helps us out

LA has 49ers (L) NYJ (W) AZ (L) SEA (W)
End at 9-8

However...LA winning today sucked b/c it means there is no room for error....they can spike and jump to 10 wins now...maybe the Jets will save our ass here

49ers have LA MIA DET AZ
If we win all 4 we end up 10-7
However...if we lose to DET we end up in a log jam tie at 9-8 and need the tie breakers to win the west

I "think" last I saw we would have tie breakers if all the NFC west teams end up 3-3 in conference but I can't remember
