That got me

I know he just got married but he'll need to convince his wife that they can only afford 10,000 square feet and not 15,000.

I don't understand the joke here other than diminishing 43 mil per year to be a pedestrian salary when it's enormous by normal means. We're talking about NFL QB salaries and the high end is 60+; Purdy competitively slots in--based on this year and other factors--somewhere in the 40 range.

I'm just being honest.

you think Shanny would've done that at the end ?

McVay is a way better coach including the play calling. He has his team prepared and disciplined.

Did you hear during the broadcast of all the extra s**t McVay did to prepare for any weather changes... good or bad? That sideline reporter did not say we were doing the same thing. You would have thought she would mention "...and a similar approach is happening on the 49ers sideline". But nope.

You're seemingly putting a lot of weight into a very quick throwaway segment for a TV broadcast, lol.

That's the problem Just because that's become the NFL norm doesn't make it right. I'm sorry but no football player should be paif like that. It's gotten out of hand. That puts them in the top .1% of all earners,. Less than 300 people in the entire country make a slary like that. It's more than surgeons who spent 9 year sgoing to school and save lives. More than CEOs of major companies that employ thousands,

We've lostr all perspective on these crazy salaries because they've become common. It's like the price of homes in places like the Bay Area. $1 million plus for a fixer upper is common but it doesn't mean it's not over priced. People buy homes with inflated prices and then can't afford ro pay for the upkeep. Eventually the house starts lookin shabby. The same is going to happen with the NFL is they keep up this salary escalation. You can't have 50% of your payroll tied up in 5 or 6 players.

I'm taking into consideration about Kyle's history of not being prepared for all scenarios. Not preparing his players for the new overtime rules (like Andy Reid did since earlier that offseason, also telling his team that they would go for 2 point conversion when given a chance to win the game)... where as unprepared ass Drunk Kyle thought for sure Andy Reid would just want to tie it in OT...and Kyle's dumb ass thought he would get a second possession in OT, thus the IDIOTIC choice to recieve in OT with the new rules.

Didn't Kittle say they did go over the playoff OT rules before the start of the season and that Juice simply didn't recall doing so?

This criticism just doesn't have any legs. The only place it is even relevant is in the decision to kick or receive, which is made by coaches. They have the same goals regardless of what they choose and accomplished neither.

this is hilariously weak. in the immediate aftermath, players confirmed not only did they not know the rules, but it was never discussed. kyle even admits this! he says the team went over OT, but we didn't go over it with the players. so what george is doing, way after the fact, is known as being a good company man. that's who he is.

and btw, if you follow the link george says yea i'm 'pretty sure', so even he doesn't pound the table and say it happened.

I mean, you are free to interpret what he said any way you want. I never claimed to know if he's lying or telling the truth. I'm just saying he made this other statement about it.

Even if George is telling the truth he's referring to a pre-season overview and not one directly before the SB. I'm not arguing that Kyle is a better HC than Reid right now anyway. I'm just not considering it some egregious offense that Kyle should be ass raped over.

read your link. george says 'pretty sure' it was discussed, then he goes into saying he's not sure why it's a big deal that no one knew. so george is contradicting himself. if they went over it as a team, then players wouldn't be in the dark. but george admits they were in the dark, and he doesn't see that as a big deal.

The thing is, a coach is there to help keep his players prepared. Understanding that players do forget things... especially in stressful situations. Pat Mahomes and Chris Jones said after the game, that in the beginning of the week Andy Reid and the coaches went over the overtime rules again and what they planned to do, until it annoyed the players.

Even if what Kittle is saying is true, that's still Kyle doing his team a disservice, IN THE MOST IMPORTANT GAME OF THEIR LIVES, by not reminding them about the new rules going into the game. And instead relying on them to remember what happened in the offseason. But yeah I don't believe Kittle, and agree he was just being a good company man.

all of this. and ppl say oh it's not a big deal. ok if it's not a big deal, why is george talking about it in the summer? why are we talking about it now? that indicates it is a big deal. after all, it's still being discussed. it's a red flag that we were not as prepared as we should have been.
