Priority #1 of the never too soon to prepare offseason…

let John Lynch and his FO stay. They have been able to get us some good players, and good contracts.

I want to see Brock with another Head Coach dammit! An aggressive one who will provide and STICK WITH having a deep threat, to open up the middle of the field.

Those coaches in Detroit revived Goff's career. He was someone we laughed at when he played in the division. Imagine what they could do for Brock

One day.. Everyone will look back and realize Kyle screwed this team. The 9ers will probably pay Brock who's honestly.. Just a high level number 2. Yall the same folks who loved Jimmy G.. It's time to move on and restart. If not... Well do the exact same thing next season. Rip the bandaid off and start over.

The 49ers went 2-14 in 2016. It was a team with little talent on the roster and no future. By 2019 they were making a SB run. That team was constructed and coached by Kyle and Lynch. Same with the team last year. If you consider that getting screwed....

In the future, I believe we will look back at this season and realize that, apart from injuries, the vibe around Brandon Aiyuk's holdout has a huge impact on how the draft and the season played out.

As numerous sources noted, the Aiyuk situation "was different" from Bosa and Kittle. We all seemed resigned to losing him to Pittsburgh due to his attitude. Being the only WR who could consistently beat man coverage, we drafted Piersall who lost all offseason and training camp, then 1/4 of the beginning of the season. In the meantime, Purdy and Aiyuk never had time to rebuild the chemistry before the BA injury. Without BA, or what he brought to the passing game, things have just never clicked.

Then there is CMC...

Of course, having Amon-Ra St Brown, one of the best in the league against both zone and man coverage had a lot to do with that. Then add Montgomery and Gibbs to make PA work. ...and Sam LaPorta.

Oh yes, having the best OL in the league will improve the QB a bit as well.

1. Pay out for the best possible veteran DC and special teams coordinator

2. Rebuild heavily on both sides of the line with an eye on improving both the ability to stop the run and better run the football.

3. Work to get faster and deeper on both offense and defense. They need better depth at LB, Safety and TE in particular.

#3 was certainly in evidence last night.

The stupidity of the suggestion to fire Shanahan and Lynch defies belief.

That suggestion will become more of a reality this time next year…

You next year =

What's honestly more impressive here:

A team being a two year contender with a former number one overall pick who had a Super Bowl appearance prior to playing with them.

or

A team being a contender for five years with Jimmy Garoppolo and the last pick in the draft at QB.

I honestly don't know how some of you guys make these arguments with a straight face.

That's the kind of talk that get people banned not much less from a « moderator »
It tells more about you than me sir…

No. Nobody has ever been banned for making a comment like this. Nice try, though.

You seem like someone with a grudge of some kind. This isn't the place for it. Either talk football or be gone. It's that simple.

in pro sports, there is always some percentage of the fan base that wants change for whatever reason. so i think it's valid as an option to include in a poll like this. as of me typing it's tied for 2nd place. i chose play the kids. when you pay the QB, you need to get contributions from your rook contract players to compensate.

OL I agree. With the offensive weapons, I will take CMC and Mason on the field over Montgomery and Gibbs. And I'll take Kittle over La Porta. And I do think BA is better than St Brown. So now we're comparing Deebo and Pearsall with Detroit's other receivers.

Johnson would do a lot of good for this offense. And hopefully refresh some of these position coaches eg oline coach that do nothing for us every year…

See 2024.
See Kyle Shanahan season 8 with 0 SB rings.

face doesn't get straighter than that…
#1 get a level headed deal for Brock worked out.
#2 lock up Dre and put a C on his jersey
#3 Cut the fat, byebye Deebo and Hargraves and likely Ward (strictly financial on Ward)
#4 Sign a top 10 Center

If we do those 4 things we are in position for a run.

2. hire new STs coordinator
