Priority #1 of the never too soon to prepare offseason…

#2 lock up Dre and put a C on his jersey
#3 Cut the fat, byebye Deebo and Hargraves and likely Ward (strictly financial on Ward)
#4 Sign a top 10 Center

If we do those 4 things we are in position for a run.

And sign Huff, I'm in....
Replacing the DC and ST coaches and fixing the trenches should be the 9ers priority In the off-season.
Sure, I'll play.

- Great thing about the NFL is priorities change based on time of the year and go in a certain order so priority one by default is getting the right coaches for ST and DC.

- I assume we're sticking with the wide 9, but wouldn't hate it if we moved in a different direction with a coach who still has the system to use who we already have. For arguments sake though I'm sticking with wide 9 as my assumption.

- Re-sign: Greenlaw (non-negotiable) and Huf (if possible). Ward, Banks gone.

- Gotta pay Brock. Is he worth top of the market, not really, but will he get it? Absolutely.

- FA priority #1
Need a starting C. Not likely to go and get a day one starter in the draft but Brendel needs to go.

- With Banks leaving I'd like a vet LG for just a year or two max. If Feliciano has one more run in him I wouldn't mind him plugging a hole next to the new C and then we can develop a LG or address it in future drafts.

- Aside from that we need depth, and that depth needs input from our new ST coordinator because that unit needs to get fixed at the same time.

- Money would be getting tight but a reasonably prices block absorbing run stopper would be delicious too.

- I wouldn't mind us targeting former high graded players who struggled on their first team but fit our systems as opposed to experienced vets running on old legs. Don't expect it, would just prefer it.

- Draft Priority
Trenches. Ideally we have a great RT (and future LT) land in our spot, but OL/DL needs that number 1 pick imo and whoever is the best player in our slot along the trenches is a priority.

- Assuming all of the above, and the draft fell into the land of ideal I'd be going OT, DE, TE, CB, LB, DT, IOL. We'll have more picks by draft time, just sticking with what's currently locked in.
Also, if we trade Deebo in the off season we lose 15mil cap space.

If we do it the following off season we save 12mil.

Not hard to figure out that Deebo will almost certainly be with us next season.

I think on top of that if we could draft a RT in the 1st and either edge or DT in the second then we would be really cooking because then you got your top 10 center, Puni at RG and then your new 1st rd pick at Rt along with Williams at LT, maybe you can stick Moore in at LG and boom you have a line that is way better than the line we have now.
I think we could possibly get Greenlaw on another team friendly 1 or 2 yr deal especially with his injury history, I do agree with making him a Captain.
I also agree that Deebo, Hargrave and Ward are gone as they have already restructured Deebo and Hargrave and this is Wards final year and I think they are going to go with Green.
I think the team is definitely willing to pay Brock 60+ mil per year but you never know he could be the kind of guy that pulls a Tom Brady and only asks for a portion of it so the team can keep building around him. I think we just have to wait and see.

Personally I would trade the underachieving Bosa for draft capital. His best days are behind him. He's failed on a grand scale to play up to his contract. He's not a game wrecker like TJ Watt or C Jones. I'm done with Bosa.

Bosa, Deebo, Juice, C. Ward, J Brown, Huf, Brendel.

All gone.

Even if that was true...no team can eat his...what?...70 million in dead money? and expect to be competitive.

You would have to gut the team to make space to carry dead money.

On top of that the defense has been in such chaos the last 2 years, I am not sure how anyone could definitely point at Bosa and say...this guy...is the problem....

Heck Bosa is still on pace to flirt with double digit sacks...

We would be back to the early 2000s. Right back into Cap Hell.

Just maybe! Lol
OL, OL, OL, OL. Fire DC, ST, and OL Coach. Rebuild the DL. Trade players for more draft picks.
1. Replace our DC and our ST Coordinator. Jed has shown that he isn't afraid to spend, and I would hope he's willing to dish out the cash to bring in high quality coaches in the offseason. For DC, my top vote goes to Saleh. He's a known commodity. I recognize that Ulbrich is another popular choice, but as someone who sees the Jets on a weekly basis, it's clear to me that Saleh was the glue keeping their defense together. And on ST, assuming McCarthy is fired in Dallas, I would do everything under the sun to hire John "Bones" Fassel away from the new regime in Dallas.

2. Invest heavily in the OL and DL. Center should be our number one priority, but a low-key important move should be resigning Jaylon Moore, who has played well enough in Trent's absence to earn another contract with the team. On DL, DJ Jones should receive a phone call from Kocurek the moment free agency begins. Our top draft picks should also be spent along the trenches. Many folks like the DTs from Michigan. Sign me up.

3. Get faster on offense. This team lacks speed. JJ, Aiyuk, and Kittle are all more or less possession guys. Deebo will be gone, but we all know he doesn't have the same burst anymore, regardless of his weight. Guerendo, Cowing, and Pearsall are good, fast building blocks. Still, we need a true burner who makes defenses pay over the top and on screens.

4. Find another LB. I'm expecting Greenlaw to be back, but this team was at its best on defense when we also had Azeez waiting in the wings. I happen to like Dee Winters, but he hasn't stayed healthy and he's far too aggressive in pursuit, leading to missed tackles and overrunning plays. We need a disciplined, sure tackler, who can also play special teams.

5. Think deeply about the QB situation. I go back and forth on Brock. I view him as superior to Jimmy, but frankly, not by that much. He insists on taking big shots without the tools to actually follow through. This is who he was at Iowa State. He had a great start to his college career and then regressed all the way through his senior year, largely because he insisted on playing hero ball. He needs to do some soul-searching in the offseason, and this team would be wise to think twice before resetting the market with his contract. I would absolutely draft a QB in rounds 5 - 7.

We have a lot to work on and some costly contracts we're paying out.

Everything needs to go right.

No, if they cut him and designate him June 1st, they save 17.5 million in cap room.

It's an easy call. He's the worst player on the team and has been holding everything back since 2023.

Wrong, it's foolish to think that. Due to a lack of emotional control on your part. Believing this year is on Kyle is believing players don't matter. You're basically saying Kyle should be able to win with anybody. Grow up
