It's a little hard to dissect since Darnold is playing half of his games in doors. We know Purdy doesn't have the physical ability to overcome bad weather.
Stature and arm Darnold. A little more mobility Purdy. Darnold seems to have more command of the offense while it seems that Purdy cedes.
I've always rooted for Purdy but I'd roll with Darnold before giving the bag to Purdy.

I don't see any real advantage to going with Darnold. He's shown he can be capable but I don't see him as an elite QB. Better to stay with Purdy until they can find someone really better. They coud get lucky in the mid to late rounds but they may need to do something like what the Rams did. Find a talented QB stuck on a lousy team and make a trade.

They traded that already. Rams beat us out on Stafford and got a chip. While we are still searching. Hard to find good qbs stuck on lousy deals. I can't think of any right now

You're going to have to give the bag to Darnold too. No, he's not signing a deal for $20 mil or $30 mil or whatever number people are fantasizing that about, convincing themselves that a 27 year old QB coming off a Pro Bowl season will take less than full value on the market value.

All I know is Hoyer and Ryan do not speak kindly of his offense, nor do former QBs that breakdown the film. Something needs to change
No he didn't

On the one hand get the bag himself and go to another Jets, Panthers situation.
Or
On the other hand take less and end up in a situation like the 49ers, Vikings, Rams.
What no-one should want is for this guy to end up in Seattle.

The clueless fans are the ones who still consider Purdy top 10. No one else in the league thinks Purdy is top 10

A potential $20 million in saving is the advantage. Said differently, it could be as simple as do you want purdy or do you want darnold and greenlaw

Mullens had as many picks as TDs in 2020 with Kyle, and a 13/10 ratio with Kyle in 2018. The TD/INT ratio in Minnesota are in line with what Mullens always was with Kyle, and he had a higher yards per attempt. Also, Mullens outperformed Josh Dobbs by a landslide in Minnesota.
If Kyle were some kind of incredible play caller, Mullens should've been significantly better with him.
Yeah, right. You're the guy who didn't even know when Purdy's go ball to Aiyuk down the sideline for a TD was last season. Forgetting that is already telling about how little you actually study football, but the fact you couldn't even be bothered to look it up to find it is even more telling. Your smugness is comical. You don't know enough to know you don't know enough.
Um, what?

Why would Darnold accept a low ball deal.? If the Niners traded for him and made him their starter he would want big money too.
