Like I said earlier, unless Justin Jefferson is coming with him, I'm out on Darnold. He's going to get paid huge bucks to go play someplace where he doesn't have a guy open like a 7-11 and he'll start looking more like Carolina Sam Darnold again but at $40+ mil a year.

Weird how having the best WR in the league makes a difference. Lets dig deeper: Minn offense, upgraded RB by a mile, top 10 TE, and a legit #2 WR emerging (he's better than Deebo.)

Watch Addison go up and make plays on the deep ball and take slants to the house. He might be better than Aiyuk too

sigh, they let the wrong one go

that's why KS10 will never win one here in SF.. he may win a ring or 2, but as an OC..

He once called Darnold as Steve Young, yet he let him walk.. oh well, that's that.. anyhow, the next thing to do is find another possible starter just in case Brock becomes the QB that a 7th rounder is supposed to be..

I'd look at:

Zack Wilson
Tyson Bagent

While drafting Riley Leonard as high as 2nd rounder or Jaxson Dart after the 4th round.

Any move away fromPurdy has to be for a legit long term QB. Bringing in someone hoping he can win immediately isn't a good strategy. This team should strengthen the O liner and defense before looking for a better QB. I hope they can reach a reasonable deal with Brock because I'm not 100% confident he can be the answer.

I'm sure I'm missing something? Ward + greenlaw is a stretch, but Darnold is projected at $30ish mil vs Purdys $60mil.

Last time the 9ers traded one player for two, it came back to bite them in the ass, lets not make the same mistake.

No im only asking why the purdy vs darnold + ward + greenlaw post was deemed as "you don't know football"

im not being rhetorical. If darnold is worth mid $30s and purdy is worth $60+, it seems like that's a fair assessment, although overly simplified

Who's to say ward and Dre are definitely goners ?

Purdy won't make 60m next year

For sure I don't have a dog in any fight on the topic… cap manipulation is foreign to me. I'm just wondering why the premise was dismissed as "you don't know football"

because the idea seems fair to me

It's not "You don't know football" it's "You have no idea what you're talking about". In reality they could still keep Purdy, Greenlaw and Ward, so no need to make that trade. Greenlaw shouldn't be too expensive coming off a major injury and Ward I bet would take a 1 to 2 year deal.

I kinda agree with the claim against the poster and knowing the poster's history kinda secure's it

Plus, Purdy > Darnold
