Injury reports are all about gambling. They have nothing to do with having an advantage over another team. Each team will play the best it can with what it has.

Purdy isn't getting $60+ million from any other team besides the Niners. Heck, I'd argue teams wouldn't pay him $50 million a year based on what he has shown us this year.

You underestimate how desperate some teams are at QB. I don't think Purdy asks for $60 mil either.
If you aren't trying to rebuild, you're going to have to pay a QB big money. Thats just the way it is.

most teams are locked into the QB they already have, NYG maybe. but will they overpay for a backup to become their starting QB ?
