In the playoffs? Next year you guys will be back I'm sure of it. The 49ers are a great football team. I miss our annual playoff game this year to be honest.
Lions vs Bills
Vikings and Bills
Texans vs Commanders Super Bowl

This is what I'm rooting for too. Vikings and Bills have lost multiple superbowls so they have felt that crushing and emotional feeling and can relate to us lol.... Also so far to me Viking fans haven't been too annoying or arrogant yet and I can't hate on Bills Mafia... Lion fans are now becoming arrogantly annoying now....I loved their feel good story of becoming relevant but their fans are making me not like them as much now lol...
commanders Broncos
Anyone but the goddamn Chiefs.
49ers of course since im on this site.

I'm not as interested in playoffs since it will be another push for KC to win. As a football fan I want Detroit vs Bills
My general default is to root for the team whose fan base has suffered the longest without a title, except 49er rivals. And I get to define those rivals and how relevant they currently are.

So, here's my preference order for the 14 teams this year:

1. Detroit Lions (Last title: 1957)

2. Buffalo Bills (Last title: 1965 (AFL))

3. Los Angeles Chargers (Last title: 1963 (AFL)) - Technically the Chargers should be ahead of the Bills, but I frankly find the prospects of a Lions-Bills SB far more interesting. Besides, AFL titles are not really respected 60 years later, so they're really tied at 0 NFL titles each since 1960 even though it was impossible for them to win a SB until the 1966 season.

4. Minnesota Vikings (Last title: 1969) - The biggest asterisk NFL title of all time, as they lost the SB to the Chiefs when everyone was ready for the merger the following season. No Vikings fan really thinks of their team as having an NFL championship even though they technically do. So they are also kinda tied with Bills and Chargers, and I just prefer the other two teams.

5. Washington Commanders (Last title: 1991)

6. Houston Texans (No titles; first season: 2002)

7. Denver Broncos (Last title: 2015) - Here's where rivalry thinking comes in. Broncos have won more recently than the Steelers, Packers and Ravens, but all those teams have 49er specific reasons to not prefer them.

8. Green Bay Packers (Last title: 2010) - First team on this list I have a 49er bias against. Them tying the 49ers for SB wins at 5 is not as bothersome to me as the Steelers getting 7, especially since it would simply be the Packers adding their 14th overall NFL title, and their current 13 is already the most ever.

9. Pittsburgh Steelers (Last title: 2008)

10. Baltimore Ravens (Last title: 2012) - I'd rather the Steelers get #7 than see the Ravens win another one. The SB XLVII hate still churns.

11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Last title: 2020)

12. Philadelphia Eagles (Last title: 2017) - Another flip, simply because this team is so punchable, the 2022 NFC CG still ticks me off, and the Bucs post-Brady are far less bothersome.

13. Los Angeles Rams (Last title: 2021) - Division rival, recent champion, undeserving milquetoast fanbase - what is there to root for here?

14. Kansas City Chiefs (Last title: 2023) - Irritating in every conceivable way.

None of these motherf**kers! I am a Niner fan!

Rawr
Bills and chargers
I'm rooting for Dan Campbell to Dan Campbell and lose it for the Lions.

I'm rooting for PIT to get blown out by Baltimore.

I'm rooting against KC.

Wouldn't mind seeing Buffalo, Hou, Wash or LAC win it
