If this is a path toward continuity in case one becomes a HC next year, than great.

OK WTF!!!!

OK wait I get it, I wanted the 49ers to hire Jeff Ulbrich in the same way. If Robert Saleh leaves in the next season or two, they have a DC on the shelf.

Hired as a defensive assistant I'm assuming.

Not a bad plan. Have someone ready once slash leaves next year .

Awesome. We don't have to worry about a DC just in case.
I'm cool with it as long as he receives all the credit if our defense is a top 5 unit
Great hire

Funny that he turned down an offer to be DC on Kyle's original staff and now he will be a defensive assistant.
The off season coaching hires have been positive so far. Let's hope this leads to a better season.

I think Gus will do a better job of what Brandon Staley was supposed to do as the ex-head coach that's on board to give expert advice.
Love this move. We've been trying to land him for years.

Assistant to the regional defensive coordinator.
Now bring back Slowik.
